In March 2016, a new hotel was opened in Obihiro City, the central city of the Tokachi Plain in Hokkaido. The name is HOTEL NUPKA. "Nupka" means "wilderness" in the Ainu language. The Tokachi Plain, which spreads out at the foot of the magnificent Hidaka Mountains, is a rich land blessed with nature, weather, food, and culture. HOTEL NUPKA was born from a full renovation of a historic building in Obihiro, in the center of this plain.
