Many works by internationally acclaimed artists are exhibited in the public space on the first floor, and art works are displayed not only in the public space but also in guest rooms based on the concept of "art collector's home". As soon as I entered the main door, I could feel the whole atmosphere was entirely different. This accommodation, which houses many art pieces, was coinciding with an exhibition during my stay, and the style of the room was very consistent and unique (including the fact that there was no television in the room). Even the pajamas I wore had a certain elegance, although it was a one-piece that might not suit everyone; thankfully, it was only while I was in the room. The room I stayed in had a very high ceiling, which didn't create a sense of oppression even in the comparatively dark accommodation. There was a decent quality speaker on the desk, and playing FKJ in the room is highly recommended.

The Node Hotel has a convenient location in the Shijo-Karasuma area. There are many dining and shopping spots around, making it the perfect base for a Kyoto trip. The hotel interior is dimly lit, creating a calm atmosphere. Art is displayed everywhere, making it a hotel where both art lovers and non-art enthusiasts can enjoy a leisurely stay. The breakfast plate, where you can choose from three types of egg dishes, is colorful and delicious! It’s a breakfast that will make you feel elegant from the morning, so I highly recommend ordering it at least once!

The suite had a kitchen with a kettle, stylish dishes, and cutlery. The refrigerator contained cute paper-packaged mineral water. Dinner was enjoyed at the hotel! I ordered roast beef bowl, French fries, and dessert. The dishes and cutlery were stylish, and everything was very lovely. The food was incredibly delicious, and the menu made me want to try everything! Plus, I received a coupon for 50% off drinks, which added to the value! Breakfast 🍴 The breakfast made with carefully selected ingredients was very delicious. I could choose from scrambled eggs, omelets, or fried eggs. 💡 Checkpoints - The bathroom is spacious and has great water pressure! - The hairdryer is a powerful Nobby. - The shampoo is from the high-end hair & body cosmetics "ARGAN" series born in Aix-en-Provence, South France. - There are bathrobes and comfortable nightwear. "A hotel like the residence of an art collector"—this phrase is evident in every corner of the place. The entire space is imbued with the breath of art, and the aesthetic sense, calculated to perfection, is felt in every piece of furniture and dishware. A quiet and sophisticated world, just a step away from the bustling noise of Kyoto. Here, even time seemed to flow elegantly. For travelers, a hotel is often just a place to sleep. However, node hotel is different. From the moment you step in until the instant you fall asleep, everything becomes an "experience." As soon as you walk into the front, you are greeted by art! The entrance doesn’t feel like a hotel at all; it resembles an art gallery. There are no hotel signs displayed, so I ended up going back and forth a few times💦 However, once you enter, it’s a chic and calming environment. It feels like time slows down. This time, I was luxuriously accommodated in a suite. The slanted ceiling gives it a penthouse feel on the top floor. The furnishings and fixtures are of high quality, matching the hotel’s artistic concept. Breakfast was a simple yet classic "less is more" orthodox breakfast! The color of the omelet was stunningly bright.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious and stylish, and it's a shame not to have it! It was free this time, but next time I would definitely choose to pay for it even if it meant an additional cost. I chose scrambled eggs from the three types available while my child opted for an omelet. Since we exercise regularly, it was fantastic to have salmon and meat for breakfast along with fruits. The vegetables were available through cold press, so my child had no problem finishing everything. The room was stylish in monochrome. There was no TV, which helped my child’s digital detox. We explored the books available and checked the shelves, which was a different experience than the usual hotel atmosphere, creating a treasure-hunting feel that kept them engaged. Thanks to this, I felt that there was potentially more conversation with my child compared to typical stays. Even when we returned to the hotel exhausted from our travels, the exciting room atmosphere allowed us to communicate a lot. Note that there is a separate accommodation tax that needs to be paid.

I had been curious about Node Hotel for a long time. Since they had a campaign for a free breakfast plan, I booked it as a reward for working hard. I was looking forward to enjoying the art since there was no TV in the room. The female staff member at check-in was so kind and polite that I felt happy right from that moment. Before my staycation, I checked the hotel’s reviews, and there were some negative aspects that worried me, but it was absolutely wonderful! Sure, the elevator was a bit dark, but it’s not like you’re in the elevator all the time, so it was no big deal. When I opened the door to my room, the bed was right there, and it was more compact than I expected, but it felt calm, and I was able to relax a lot. Honestly, I'm not very knowledgeable about art, but the room and the hallway were adorned with beautiful works. It was also nice to have a digital detox and enjoy reading slowly. (Right after check-in, there’s a bookstore called ‘Ogaki Shoten’ within walking distance, where I spent an hour looking for a book I wanted to read!) Breakfast was delicious, and I appreciated them accommodating my allergies! I had the best staycation! By the way, my room didn’t have a phone, but if I needed anything, I could contact them via LINE. I had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and I was grateful that I could make that reservation too!

A hotel I had wanted to stay at for a long time✨ The room I stayed in this time was a room featuring the works of Barry McGee! In a stylish space with a calming gray theme, the high ceiling and the balance of the artwork was perfect, and I could see the art for hours, which was blissful. The room had a collection of Barry McGee's works and a file of the artist's profile, allowing me to thoroughly enjoy the art! The desk lamp was a work by Junpei Ohmori. Upon check-in, I received a welcome drink ticket, so I enjoyed a plethora of art displayed from the reception on the 1st floor to the bar, seeing works by Nobuyoshi Araki, Joseph Beuys, Lawrence Weiner, Shiro Kuramata, Eiko Hosoe, and others. I was shown the Art List as I found some interesting works. Thanks to the Art List, I could check out the works that were only in the guest rooms, and I thought to myself, next time I want to stay in this room. There are not only artworks but also Gaudí's chairs and Marc Newson's chairs. There are also artworks on the accommodation floor, so be sure to check those out too! The day I stayed, new artworks were brought in, and I was lucky to see different pieces! Breakfast is free until March 10, 2025. You can choose from scrambled eggs, omelets, or fried eggs. I have stayed in various art hotels, but this was a hotel that made me want to live in such a room.

The hospitality of the staff was excellent; they helped carry my luggage to the room and guided me there.

The atmosphere from getting in the elevator to walking down the corridor and entering the room was exceptional. There is no TV in the guest room, which adds to the slightly extraordinary space. Instead, there was a Bluetooth speaker provided, allowing me to fully immerse myself in my favorite music. (The walls were solid concrete, so I couldn't hear any sounds from other rooms.) The lobby also had a great atmosphere, and I spent a chill time sipping a beer with the drink voucher I received. The location was convenient as it was near a bustling area with convenience stores, supermarkets, and restaurants.

I often stayed around Kyoto Station and Shijo, but this was my first time staying near Karasuma Station. Even though it was a hotel, I felt a fashionably solo living vibe that really suited me. My schedule was packed, so I didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but it was spacious and relaxing! I had a welcome drink on the first floor. They also had clothing POP UPs which made it feel less like a hotel in a good way!

I enjoyed a luxurious feeling by staying in a twin room alone. This is definitely a hotel I want to visit again.
