A Family-Friendly Inn!

It's often difficult to book a room for five family members, especially since the kids are getting bigger. However, we managed to stay as a family of five by having an extra bed added to the superior twin room! The room size was sufficient even with three beds! There were wooden bears everywhere, and the kids enjoyed the bear hunt! Despite being in the city center close to Obihiro Station, there was even an outdoor bath, which was the best hot spring! We used the bakery at the shop for breakfast, and it was very delicious and highly recommended! With an Aeon nearby, the location was very convenient for families with children! We definitely want to stay here again when we travel to Obihiro!

Family Trip to Experience Hokkaido

I finally got to visit the highly recommended Hokkaido Hotel which I had always wanted to go to. The building and the interior had a calming atmosphere with a brown color scheme. The room was modern, compact twin, but the areas outside the entrance and beds were spacious, which made the kids happy. We pushed the beds together and leaned them against the wall for use. The onsen was a moor hot spring that left my skin smooth, and I really liked it. The sauna was great too; I used it three times during my stay. I thought it was located in the forest, but surprisingly, it was in a developed area, conveniently close to McDonald's and Tsuruha Ion. Despite its convenient location, it was surrounded by nature, which was wonderful. I appreciated the coffee and apple vinegar drink service in the lounge. Additionally, there were amenities for children, including cute towels, slippers, and toothbrushes, which made them very happy. We had a pleasant stay with two adults, a kindergartner, and a 2-year-old. The bed size and room size were just right for comfort. Since we had a room-only plan, we bought bread sold in the shop for breakfast, and it was as delicious as rumored. The French milk cream was my top recommendation!

We stayed with two adults and one elementary school child, and to our surprise, the child could sleep for free! It was a great bargain. While waiting for the welcome drink that could be used from 5 pm, we explored the hotel... as rumored, there were wooden carvings of bears and owls everywhere! The coffee we were aiming for was made with a machine we liked, so it was a cup that relieved the fatigue from the long drive. When I peeked into the chapel as the door was open, it was a very lovely chapel! The onsen was a Moor Onsen, not too hot, just right. The outdoor bath had relatively close stone stairs when the door opened, so I think it's better to be careful when entering at night. Just like the Moor Onsen, my skin became moist and smooth. I spent a blissful time in the morning's outdoor bath while listening to the birds singing. In the morning, we bought bread at a bakery that opened at 9 a.m. and enjoyed it with coffee! The British-style bread that my child chose was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and when paired with the chocolate cream we bought, it was incredibly delicious!! Normally, we stayed in hotels with buffet breakfast included at night and in the morning (which is also delicious, so I am satisfied), but please avoid busy times! From what time to what time! We have to soak in the hot springs! There's no time! The same phenomenon happened in the morning… and check-out was also early. Before we knew it, the time spent relaxing with my family in the room was short, but this time the check-out was later at 11 a.m., so we were really able to stay without worrying about time.

The Hottest Sauna Trip in Hokkaido

I booked the sauna twin "Totono" because I wanted to relax in a room sauna. I've stayed here many times, and when I'm in the sauna here, most things just don't matter anymore. Even with kids, having a room sauna means we can relax together after the kids go to sleep, which is just perfect. We can dive straight into bed, and I have nothing to complain about. Hokkaido Hotel has ranked in the Sauna Michelin before, so the sauna in the large public bath is bliss (but it feels super hot)! The moor hot spring makes your skin super smooth. I recommend it as a base for sightseeing in Eastern Hokkaido!

I stayed with 2 adults and 1 elementary school student. Since the elementary school student can sleep for free, I was able to stay very affordably. For dinner, I made a reservation through the hotel’s official website. They had children's lunch available as well (photo). One thing to note is that you cannot wear a yukata in the dining area and lounge, so be careful with your attire when going from the hot spring to the meal. The hot spring was, of course, amazing. The quality of the hot spring was very good. For breakfast, since hotel bread is sold at the shop, I bought some and had a leisurely meal in the lounge while looking at the courtyard. I saw some squirrels! I definitely want to use this place again ^ ^

It was a cute hotel with wood-carved bears everywhere! The hot spring was smaller than I expected, but it was good with a moor hot spring. There is an open-air bath as well. On the morning we stayed, when I went out to the garden, there were squirrels, and they were very cute. Nearby, there was Obihiro Aeon, Tsuruha, and McDonald's. Right near the hotel, there was a confectionery shop called Tokachi Toteppo Workshop, which is famous for its cheesecake. It was within walking distance from the station, and it cost 850 yen for a taxi from the hotel, and we arrived right away.

I stayed for 2 nights. It’s not exactly in front of the station, but it's within walking distance, and above all, the building is beautiful. Of course, you can also enter Obihiro's pride, the mall hot spring! I bought some delicious bread at the shop for breakfast. If possible, I want to stay for about a week to get my skin even smoother. I also learned for the first time that Obihiro is a brick city from this sign. Personally, this is my top recommendation from my HafH life.

Just 1km south of Obihiro Station, with a bus stop to Obihiro Airport right in front, access is excellent. Despite this, it stands in a lush green area. As I usually stay in cheap business hotels, I was excited to experience the luxurious urban resort hotel after a long time. There are several restaurants, all of which looked delicious and tempting, but this time I opted for a room-only stay. I skimped and had a bento meal from the nearby Aeon. The free-flow coffee at the guest lounge was appreciated. Since I was alone in the twin room this time, I had plenty of space to relax. The toilet & bathroom, in particular, were spacious. The dimmer switch allowed me to control the room's brightness beautifully. I could walk to the large public bath in my room attire. The sauna, where you can do self-rou-ryu, seems to be a highlight, and there are many decorations with celebrities' autographs on display. The outdoor bath was also amazing. It was unfortunate that I didn't have bright photos since the next morning came early. I want to repeat this trip with my family next time.

【Free bedding for elementary school students】 Welcome drinks (coffee, apple vinegar, etc.) were available, and the hotel staff was very kind, keeping the children excited throughout. The hotel's hot spring water is sourced from the Mall hot spring, known for its skin-beautifying properties, and it was a treat for a hot spring lover like me, who could also enjoy it in the morning (there's a sauna too).

We stayed in a superior twin with an extra bed, accommodating five family members (with two kids sharing a bed)✨ We could get an extra bed through a message from Huff! The additional bed was 6000 yen! The bed is not Hollywood style, but there is one against the wall, so the kids could sleep safely! In the lounge, we could drink coffee and vinegar, and since it was the Christmas season, there was also a beautiful tree✨ There were classic cars and a church, and there were hot springs, making it a great place to spend the night💓

Our family of five was accommodated in a superior twin room with an additional bed, making our stay comfortable. The facility was stylish and clean, and the quality of the hot spring was great. The jacuzzi was at a temperature suitable for children, and we enjoyed it in the morning and evening. The service of vinegar drinks and coffee in the lounge was excellent, providing satisfaction beyond the price paid.

I've used this hotel more than 5 times already. The atmosphere, onsen, and sauna all provide an exceptional satisfaction level for the price! Among the Huff places, I believe this hotel offers the best 'cost performance' for the number of coins. The bakery inside the hotel is truly delicious, so even staying without meals is no problem! The bread is available from 8 AM when the store opens, so it's recommended to go buy it at that time. It seems many locals come to buy bread as well. Additionally, there is a complimentary coffee service in the lounge exclusive to guests, and you can bring it to your room, making it perfect for enjoying a relaxing breakfast with delicious coffee and bread in your room. The onsen is an exquisite moor hot spring designated as a Hokkaido heritage site. The open-air bath is also fantastic. Children up to elementary school age can share a bed, there are bed guards, and the large public bath is equipped with baby beds and chairs, making it ideal for families. The location is also great, serving as a perfect base for sightseeing in Obihiro. Highly recommended!

It was a really nice inn with a spacious lobby filled with interesting and cute wooden bears everywhere. It also had a hot spring and sauna. Many of the staff were Japanese, and they were very kind in responding to any inquiries. I requested the freezing of cold packs, and thanks to that, I was able to bring back local souvenirs from Obihiro deliciously and was very satisfied.

This hotel is slightly away from the station, which allows for its extensive grounds, giving a sense of a resort hotel atmosphere. The building designed by a famous architectural group features an exterior made with local materials. Additionally, the courtyard is filled with greenery, and in the morning, you can hear the sounds of birds. If your budget allows, it is recommended to enjoy breakfast while overlooking this garden for an extra fee. The superior twin room we stayed in was a bit more spacious, with warm interiors that utilize the texture of wood, providing a comfortable environment. The hotel also boasts a large bathhouse with a rare plant-based moor hot spring, along with a sauna that is well-regarded by locals. This hotel offers a higher-quality stay compared to a typical business hotel.

I am a beginner traveler. I stayed with my spouse and our 6-year-old child. The hot spring made my skin smooth, and the temperature was easy for kids to enter, allowing us to relax thoroughly. Everything, including towels, was prepared in the changing room, so it was great to go to the hot spring hands-free. We opted for a room only, but for breakfast, we enjoyed the bread we had reserved at the hotel's bakery in the lounge. The bread was very delicious, and the free coffee in the lounge was also excellent. It seems lovely to eat outside on a nice day. Obihiro offers plenty of places to play, with affordable and delicious food! I want to go again. Thank you very much!

Sweating it out in the sauna, relaxing in the moor hot spring, and enjoying apple vinegar and grape vinegar in the lounge afterward was the best! The Obihiro Banei Horse Racing site I visited before my stay was also just a 10-minute drive away, making it very accessible!

Late Summer in Obihiro✴︎ Featuring Tokachi Marche

I used the hotel with my grandfather and my elementary school son. I was happy that the bedding was free for elementary school students! It took about three hours by car to Obihiro... it's not exactly close, but I felt it was worth the trip! I had heard a lot of good things about the Hokkaido Hotel beforehand, so my expectations were high, and I was not disappointed with my stay. First, the staff greeted us at the entrance and smoothly guided us to the check-in counter, which was a good impression✨. The hotel had birds and animals made from wood all over the place, and it was very much like Hokkaido. In the guest lounge, you can enjoy coffee and fruit vinegar from 17:00 to 22:00. Since you can take them to your room, the lounge was calm and not crowded. There seemed to be weddings on both days over the weekend because there was a chapel as well. The hot spring is not large, but I thoroughly enjoyed the moor hot spring. The sauna was hot enough to warm me to my core. The changing room wasn't very spacious, but I could use it without overcrowding. The room was spacious with a large window, a wide entrance, a bathroom, toilet, and bathtub that were all easy to use. The courtyard was very lovely. Next time, I’d like to meet a squirrel.

I stayed at Sauna Twin 'Totono' for my sauna-loving husband, and it was nothing short of amazing! The sauna in the room is spacious enough for two adults, and you can enjoy the outdoor view through the window. The expansive 'Totono Terrace' features lounge chairs for relaxation, and the evening drink time by the fireplace was the best. The drinks in the room's refrigerator are unlimited, showcasing unique and appealing options such as the Finnish cocktail 'Lonkero' and birch sap drink. The room was spacious and comfortable, making for a wonderful stay. Breakfast is also recommended for an additional fee, with options for a Japanese-Western set or soup curry. The restaurant has private rooms available, which made it very comfortable for us with small children.

The sauna and hot springs were amazing!! As expected from a "Forest Spa Resort" ♨️ Both the sauna and hot springs were great, The hot springs, which are made from the mole springs of Hokkaido heritage, were gentle on the skin and really refreshing ♨️ The sauna was chosen for the sauna Michelin, and not only were the facilities good, but the scent was also pleasant, and the layout to the drinking area and cold water bath was very good 🧖 The facility itself was very clean, and there were times when you could drink coffee for free, making it very comfortable.

Centered around Obihiro City, saunas are hot in Eastern Hokkaido, and among them, a facility that sauna lovers want to visit is the Forest Spa Resort Hokkaido Hotel. From the perspective of accommodation, the Hokkaido Hotel is a very calming facility where you can stay with peace of mind. As a sauna lover, the sauna room offers a loofah experience, and the cold bath offers refreshing flowing water that feels great; the outdoor bath space is slightly narrow, but it has greenery visible, making it a calming area. The hot spring is a moor spring, which is a pleasant feature for someone like me with poor circulation. I enjoyed the sauna on the day of check-in and also enjoyed the sauna the next morning, which made for a fulfilling day.

A Little Luxury on Our Expedition Trip❣

An expedition trip to watch my son's game. We don't normally stay in such luxurious hotels, but it's all thanks to Huff 😆. From the hotel lobby, we could feel a relaxing atmosphere (maybe the scent of wood?). Also, we happened to witness a wedding scene and received a share of the happiness. My daughter who accompanied me was thrilled. We promised, 'Let’s come again' 😊.

In winter Hokkaido, I came to the Hokkaido Hotel for a hot spring sauna trip! It's convenient as the bus stops directly from the airport, so it's safe even in winter with snow! The aim was to visit this mall hot spring♨️ and sauna🧖‍♀️ The humidity level in Mori-ryu and Wari-ryu was just right, and it felt great✨ It's even better to enjoy outdoor air bathing in the freezing cold air. It was also good that the hot water from the outdoor bath flowed at my feet, so I didn't get too cold.

This hotel has an amazing mall hot spring and sauna. A day-use pass is 2,000 yen. Please stay over to enjoy it! The superior twin room that you can stay in with HafH has slightly aged facilities and a view of the residential area, but during the short summer high season, regular rates soar, so staying with HafH feels like a bargain. Breakfast is an additional 2,600 yen. There are set menu options of Japanese, Western, or soup curry, and if you choose Western, you will receive hotel-made bread (also sold in the store), which is delicious.
