Stay in a Sauna - Tokyo Edition

A hostel located just a 1-minute walk from JR Ebisu Station, boasting an excellent location. Plus, the bonus is that it comes with a sauna. HafH's coin rates are also very reasonable! Considering the average cost of using a sauna comfortably in the city ranges from 2,000 to 3,000 yen, staying at Doshii Ebisu includes both accommodation and sauna access within that price range, making it an incredible deal! Treat yourself after a week of hard work by sweating it out in the sauna for a refreshing mood boost. It's experiences like these that make me truly appreciate staying with HafH.

The Best for My Favorite Activities

Check-in was smooth, and there is a bag with towels, slippers, and a robe inside the locker. When I went up to the sauna and shower floor, it was crowded, but I was able to shower and use the hairdryer without waiting. The hairdryer is from Salonia and dries with heat. For women, having makeup remover and a toothbrush would provide extra reassurance. Used bath towels should be placed in the box located in front of the elevator. It's nice that I don't have to carry wet items across different floors. During checkout, you return the key and sort towels and robes into their respective boxes.

Excellent Access Near the Station!!

The access near the station is really good! There are a lot of people passing by, and the streets are bright, so it’s safe even for women. The accommodation floor has separate sleeping areas and luggage lockers, so you won't be disturbed by noises! What was nice was that the sauna and shower rooms can be used freely outside of the 10 am to 2 pm hours, and I could even chat with other guests in the lounge on the second floor! The powder room for women gets quite crowded in the morning, so it was easier to use around 6:00 or after 8:00 when it was relatively less busy. I recommend that those with flexible schedules try to avoid peak times!

Retro Capsule Hotel

I have used capsule hotels like MY CUBE, First Cabin, and 9hours, but this one has lockers for storing your belongings, so there was relatively little noise from coming and going of luggage. The interior has a retro feel, allowing for a travel-like experience. The sauna effect helped me relax before sleep, but there was someone snoring loudly, so I couldn't sleep well. One thing to note is that the front desk is located on the second floor. You'll have to use the stairs for heavy suitcases, so be careful about this.

Close to the station but a bit scary at night

The stairs to the reception are a little steep, so it might be difficult if you have a lot of luggage. It's nice that there are slippers, towels, and loungewear so you don't need to bring too much. The stairs and elevator to the reception are narrow, making it hard to go back and forth to the women-only floor. However, if you’re just staying for the night, it’s not particularly problematic, and having a sauna is a nice relief when you’re tired. The bed is neither good nor bad. Since there's a sauna, you can really enjoy the bath, and the dressing space in the shower room is ample, making it easy to use.

Affordable Coin Sauna Experience 😆

Stayed for a business trip. I was exhausted, so I fell asleep right after arriving at the capsule. Woke up early and immediately went to the sauna 🧖 The sauna room itself was very clean and comfortable. Although there wasn't a cold bath, I liked that the shower temperature could be selected in increments from 10 degrees to 5 degrees. I started at 25 degrees and, once I got used to it, dropped to 10 degrees, looking for the perfect comfort. The shower room was quite slippery, and the elevator is small with only one, making it prone to congestion, so be careful.

A Luxurious Stay with Sauna at a Low Point Cost

Located in the heart of Tokyo, "Dosh Ebisu" is the perfect place for those looking to enjoy a small luxury in the city at a low point cost. It has the necessary and sufficient services in place, and for those who are not averse to capsule hotels, a relaxing stay can be expected. The biggest attraction is, without a doubt, the sauna facility. It is a spot that helps to thoroughly heal the fatigue from busy sightseeing or work. Being enveloped in the warmth of the sauna and refreshing your body and mind is a significant advantage for guests. However, the rest area seems to be slightly narrow, utilizing a balcony, and you may catch the delicious scent drifting up from the yakitori shop below, so it may not be ideal for unwinding completely. However, after sweating in the sauna while feeling hungry, being drawn in by the scent of yakitori could be a delightful experience. Additionally, there are points to keep in mind when checking out. During busy times, there may be only one elevator available, so prompt access may not be guaranteed, requiring some planning ahead. "Dosh Ebisu" is recommended for those seeking an easy-to-relax accommodation while feeling the vibrancy of Tokyo.

My First HafH (Sauna in Ebisu)

The sauna was definitely the highlight. I was worried about not having a cold bath, but the water showers with different temperatures were good in their own way. I enjoyed it thoroughly even the next morning before check-out.

I climbed the stairs to the front desk, and check-in was smooth. At first, I was handed a key to a locker that already had luggage in it (laughs). I was tired from my favorite activity, so I wished they had spared me that, but I was able to exchange it for a new key right away. It would be ideal if it could be resolved on the same floor, but it's better to avoid such troubles when moving between floors. But, given that you can stay cheaply in the urban capsule, it can't be helped. I think the size of the locker is standard, but there is a place to put a carry case, so those with a lot of luggage are okay too. The pictograms are clear, so international guests can feel comfortable.
