Within Walking Distance to the Merlion!

Stayed in March, 2025

The hotel is within walking distance to the 'Merlion.' It takes about 15 minutes on foot for adults. It's about a 20-minute drive from Changi Airport, while it takes roughly an hour via MRT (train). The hotel name will change in February 2025, originally called 'Peninsula Excelsior.' You can reference it as 'Peninsula' on Grab. We talked about how hotel names frequently change. Stayed with my family of four. We spent our first night here on the day of arrival. The nearest station is 'City Hall Station', which is less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel—a great location. After arriving, since my kids were small, we walked to see the Merlion from 'Raffles Place Station', which is one stop away from City Hall Station. Upon arrival, we drove to the first floor and arrived at an open lobby on the second floor, where the staff was friendly and welcoming. It was great to have breakfast included with HafH! I confirmed it during check-in. Breakfast is located down the spiral stairs from the second floor. Though the variety of food was limited, it was sufficient since we planned to eat plenty outside. It was cold, so you’ll need something to wear over. The guest room is spacious! When I entered, it was predictably cold with the air conditioning set to 20 degrees. I turned it off for a bit, then adjusted it to a comfortable temperature. From the window, I could see a little of Marina Bay Sands! This was a thrilling experience. I wonder if the photo shows it? There was a little incident! Be cautious with the shower. There is one fixed above and a hand-held one, and when I tried to check if it worked properly, water suddenly sprayed down from above and got me soaking wet... After the overhead shower starts, you must pull the knob for the hand-held shower to come out, so be careful (checking while fully clothed will get you wet). The water pressure was fine. Great location, cleanliness, spacious room, with a pool and gym, making it suitable for long stays. I had a very comfortable time. My family was very satisfied with the hotel. I hope this was helpful!
