Experience of the stay
After thoroughly enjoying Huis Ten Bosch until nightfall, we indulged in a hotel resembling a Western castle!
We stayed with three generations: my 3-year-old daughter, me (mom), and my grandmother (my mother).
On the morning of the first day, we got caught in a sudden downpour on our way to the hotel from the station, and while soaked, we dashed to the hotel with our suitcase in hand.
Seeing us drenched, a staff member brought us towels and kindly assisted us. The hospitality was fantastic!
We decided to give up on entering Huis Ten Bosch for the time being and warmed ourselves in the hotel's large public bath. The bath was spacious, clean, and the water temperature was comfortable for the kids.
By the time we got out of the bath, the rain had stopped, so we enjoyed Huis Ten Bosch from around 2 PM to 9 PM! We took a nap in between and had dinner at the hotel.
There’s a direct connection from the hotel to Huis Ten Bosch, and re-entry is possible, which is a great perk for families with toddlers, allowing us to enjoy the nighttime illuminations.
The Japanese dish “senpoku gozen” we had for dinner at the Japanese restaurant “Benkai” was incredibly delicious, so be sure to try it!
Since there’s a connection to Huis Ten Bosch, you can come and go during your stay.
Experiences during the trip
A long-awaited trip to Nagasaki. My daughter is now 3 years and 10 months old, and I've finally gathered the courage to let her fly for the first time. By the way, Nagasaki's overall vibe is just too good!
The European-style architecture scattered throughout the city blends in naturally, giving it a different historical weight compared to places like Yokohama and Kyoto.
The national treasure, Oura Church, is said to be the oldest Christian structure in Japan.
At the nijntje Cafe (Miffy Cafe) within Huis Ten Bosch, almost every seat has a Miffy and a cushion, and they had a Halloween themed menu this time.
The sauce designed to look like a spider's web and the egg made to look like a little blanket are adorable!
The Chinese restaurant “Shikairou” at Oura Church is the birthplace of Nagasaki champon and sara udon!
Founded in 1899, this Chinese restaurant was created with the intention of providing delicious, hearty, nutritious, and affordable dishes for Chinese students studying in Nagasaki. Moreover, it offers an ocean view!
Huis Ten Bosch is not only beautiful in scenery but also has a surprisingly rich array of attractions; there was so much to do that we couldn’t finish it all in one day. They also have plenty of content for young children!
You can't miss the three-story merry-go-round, which is unique to Japan!
Considering the season coming up, it's just about Christmas time. The Santa inside Huis Ten Bosch is very cheerful and charming, so definitely check it out!♡Get Extra Bonus Coins! Sign up with this user's referral code now!
