Experience of the stay
I stayed in March 2025, and it's my second visit after December 2024.
Directly connected to BTS Asoke Station and adjacent to MRT Sukhumvit Station. You can use both without getting wet, even with a large suitcase. It's also nice that they can hold your luggage after checkout, so you can enjoy until the last minute.
Additionally, right in front is Terminal 21, a shopping mall open until 10 PM. You can enjoy movies, shops (souvenirs, clothing, and miscellaneous goods), cafes, restaurants, food courts, and a supermarket in the basement, which makes it a perfect place to spend all day in hot Bangkok.
The views from the rooftop bar are fantastic, and compared to bars in other hotels, the prices are quite reasonable. The staff were kind and left a good impression, and it’s also family-friendly if you're with elementary school children.
Craving fresh vegetables, I used the restaurant 'Ume no Hana' on the second floor for breakfast. You can choose from four pre-set sets, which include both Japanese and Western options. Rice and miso soup can be refilled. There's a buffet with drinks, fresh vegetables, fruits, yogurt, toast, and natto, which was great to be able to enjoy fresh vegetables with peace of mind. The Moo Ping (pork skewers) on the buffet table is delicious, so definitely try it if you get the chance.
The room is sufficiently spacious; although there's no bathtub, the water area is clean, and the shower pressure is excellent. The service is so good that you'd forget you're in Bangkok. You can use your chargers and hair irons from Japan without needing a converter (see photos).
The room includes disposable slippers and a one-piece pajama set. Amenities include disposable slippers, toothbrushes, shower caps, cotton swabs, and cotton. The hairdryer is a Panasonic model with great airflow. In the bathroom, there are body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The refrigerator has two bottles of water and an additional two bottles of room-temperature water, which was a nice service. Overall, it's a very relaxing room.
Many staff members speak Japanese, which is reassuring. There are laundry facilities on the lobby floor, with two washing machines and two dryers. There's also an ice service and a microwave. You can purchase two coins (tokens) for 200 baht at the front desk for laundry. Each bag of detergent and softener is included, and you can purchase more if needed. Laundry takes 40 minutes, and drying takes 60 minutes; it’s recommended to do laundry while having breakfast.
In the lobby, there are vending machines for drinks and snacks. An ATM is also available 💸
Experiences during the trip
I'll skip the guidebook spots here.
Just a few minutes from the hotel, you'll find Starbucks, 7-Eleven, Boots (a pharmacy with cosmetics), and McDonald's (open 24 hours), so it's incredibly convenient.
Especially at McDonald's, I recommend the Thai rice porridge with condensed milk served with the morning McDonald's exclusive, Patongko (fried bread), which is delicious. I wish Japan's McDonald's had rice porridge and Patongko too! Haha.
On the 4th floor of Terminal 21, there's a Thai restaurant called 'ZEED', and I loved it so much that I went there three times during my six-day stay. Every dish was delicious, including Phupapong curry, pineapple fried rice, and Tom Yum Kung (you can ask for spice adjustments). The staff were courteous, and the restaurant was busy, so they worked efficiently. Depending on the time, there might be a wait.
I highly recommend this place 🍚
Also, right in front of the hotel is a massage shop called 'Let's Relax', which is fantastic. It's perfect for soothing travel fatigue before heading home. You can get a 120-minute Thai massage for only 1,200 baht. The price is unbeatable, and the store is clean, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere as the name suggests. It's reassuring that elementary school-aged children can also receive treatment in the same room. The staff frequently checked with the children to ensure they weren't in pain, which made it a reliable and trustworthy place. On my way back, they treated me to mango sticky rice and herbal tea (see photos).
