A Secret Inn You Want to Keep!
ずー
Stayed in March, 2025
This is my third time returning!
I was able to stay at this hotel for 1050 coins on a weekend that typically costs about 70,000 yen on booking sites.
Upon arrival, I was offered a welcome drink in the lobby lounge, allowing me to relax while enjoying the ocean view.
If desired, I could also take drinks back to my room.
What I love most about this inn is that my room has a half-open-air hot spring bath, allowing me to enjoy a bath at any time I like.
Additionally, the large public bath is spacious, where you can slowly soak in the hot springs while looking at the sea and enjoy the sauna.
When checking in, they inform you of the sunrise time for the next day, so if you go to the bath when the sun rises, you'll be treated to a spectacular view.
The room is spacious, with a separate living area and bedroom.
The presence of a mini-kitchen is a great bonus, making it easy for those with children to use.
Tea and coffee were provided in the room.
There was a coffee machine in the lobby, allowing me to enjoy unlimited cups for free! It was a machine that ground the beans each time, so the aroma was wonderful and the coffee was very tasty.
I opted for the no-meal plan, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so I don't think you'll have any trouble.
I had dinner from Kamesho Kuru Kuru Sushi to go and enjoyed it in my room!
For breakfast, I bought bread from Tomonaga Pan the day before and had it with the lobby coffee.
The staff was very kind, and I want to use this inn multiple times.
Above all, the cost performance is excellent, and although I wish to keep this inn a secret, I really want many people to stay here!
I will definitely return again!

SOKI KANAZAWA | Participate in an Overnight Exhibition in the Art Capital
Tokyo Hotel Maniac
Stayed in April, 2025
Kanazawa has many outstanding hotels, making it difficult to choose when booking a stay.
Even so, SOKI KANAZAWA, under the UDS Group, has an undeniable presence.
Originating from design, the UDS Group not only handles architecture and interior design but also operates hotels.
Staying here feels less like a temporary stop and more like participating in an "overnight exhibition."
Upon checking in, I was first offered the famous wagashi "Odawaki" from Ishikawa Prefecture. At first glance, it seemed like ordinary daifuku, but the moment I bit into it, I was amazed. The chewy texture is quite exceptional, and the level of sweetness is just right. I was wondering where I could buy some when I realized the nearest shop is actually an hour drive away. That's when I understood that SOKI had already selected the local flavors worth trying for its guests.
On the day of check-in, it was cloudy, and I initially worried that the room might be a bit dim.
However, the moment I opened the door, I felt the light meticulously adjusted to warmly welcome travelers.
"Welcome to Kanazawa. To give you the feeling of staying in a movie, we've specially designed the lighting,"
Then, my gaze was drawn to a selected Kaga stick tea and a wooden tea cup, followed by a geometrically shaped red bean-colored sofa.
After this visual flurry, the scene concluded with two Japanese-style double beds quietly arranged on the wooden floor.
SOKI is a hotel that continuously engages your senses.
From check-in to check-out, every angle, every moment feels meticulously planned.
If you enjoy taking photos, be prepared—your shutter will truly not stop.
Next to the bedside was a small SOKI manual introducing the hotel-prepared tea "Kinbocha SHUN" and the wooden tea cup made with Ishikawa's traditional craft of "Yamanaka Lacquerware," which feels light in hand, and the rim is slim and easy to sip from.
Being able to personally experience Kanazawa's craftsmanship through everyday utensils is a delightful experience.
Traveling in Kanazawa, if you can stay a night at SOKI, you've already sampled the essence of this city.
SOKI's location is also very convenient, right next to Ohmi Market.
Though the overall size isn't large, it still features a very beautiful large public bath.
There's no outdoor bath, but the arched ceiling of the indoor bath provides a comforting sense of being in a hidden cave.
After a soak, not only is coffee milk ready, but you can also enjoy sweet sake from Kanazawa Fukuyu. It's recommended to bring it back to your room, add ice, and enjoy it slowly from a glass cup.
When your body is warm, pairing it with a cold, nutritious sweet sake really provides that unforgettable feeling of being cleansed from the inside out.
The "SOKI" brand combines the concepts of "Simplicity" and "Tools," removing unnecessary decorations, returning to the essence, crafting a minimal yet profound space.
After experiencing a whole night here, I'm even more convinced that this philosophy is thoroughly conveyed.
Currently, the SOKI brand has two hotels: one in Kanazawa and one in Atami. Atami focuses more on leisure, while Kanazawa has a smaller, urban feel with more affordable prices. If you want to experience the charm of SOKI, I recommend unlocking it while traveling in Kanazawa!

Good ol'days Hotel: A Place Worth Revisiting in Busan
Yueh
Stayed in October, 2023
During my first visit to Busan, South Korea, we had a wonderful night at the Good ol' days Hotel in Nampo-dong, which became the most memorable part of our journey.
This hotel was discovered by chance on HafH, and upon seeing the photos, my travel companion and I couldn't help but quietly squeal—it was definitely the one! The popularity of the hotel was such that our determination to stay there made us adjust our whole itinerary to fit the few remaining rooms. Only after booking did we learn that it is run by a Taiwanese owner and her Korean husband, which added an extra layer of comfort and familiarity.
The first and second floors serve as a café and product selection space, while the rooms are on the upper floors. Upon entering the room, I was immediately drawn to the bar area behind the double bed; rather than praise the aesthetics, I want to commend the attention to detail and care for guests that is evident everywhere here.
For example, they provided a generous mini bar (featuring the famous three-layer fish cake from the area), vinyl records with a turntable (complete with clear usage instructions for a worry-free experience), and a hand-brewed coffee setup (which also came with instructions to guide you through brewing a cup of coffee)—all these thoughtful touches made us feel well taken care of.
That night, we played Cigarettes After Sex's vinyl in our room, and now whenever I hear that album, it instantly transports me back to that moment in our travels.
The next morning, a breakfast basket arrived promptly at our door, not only nutritious and delicious but also beautifully presented (perfect for photos). Guests can also go to the café on the first floor for redeemable drinks, and the coffee was of such a high standard that we ended up buying more the next day.
The standout feature of Good ol' days Hotel is the "Postcard Wall" in the product selection area on the first floor. Here you can choose your favorite postcards and have them mailed out; uniquely, you can specify a date to send one to "your future self," so that when you receive it on a certain day, it will remind you of those good old days.
I also highly recommend taking a walk on the rooftop, where you can enjoy a view of Busan Tower. The atmosphere differs between day and night, and the surprise music selection is truly romantic.
The only regret was only booking one night! I strongly suggest everyone stay at least two nights, or you’ll find yourself reluctant to leave till the very last moment, just like we did.

Free Breakfast and Massage! Enjoy a Quality Stay in Siem Reap
かか@子連れ旅専門家
Stayed in April, 2025
Starting with a welcome scarf (a traditional Cambodian stoles) and foot massage.
The hotel is full of hospitality.
It's a cozy two-story building, and the service of calling guests by name is quite exceptional.
Breakfast is free for all guests, and includes local and Western dishes.
During breakfast time, there's also a free 10-minute massage. They even offered to look after my child, so I took them up on it right away. The massage skills were impressive. The hotel's spa massage is $80 for 60 minutes (about 12,000 yen), which is a bargain for a five-star hotel.
There's a sauna, and when I made a reservation, they said, "There's no other reservation, so it's all yours. Feel free to use it." There are dry and steam saunas, and gowns and disposable shorts are provided, so you can go hands-free.
The gym is open 24 hours and does not require a reservation.
The pool is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Being small allows them to cherish each guest even more.
Artworks are displayed all over the place, making it feel like being in an art museum. I stayed with my child and felt enveloped in happiness.
In addition to traditional snacks during the turndown service, there was also a hotel-made chocolate gift. I regretted going out every day because I had such a wonderful stay at the hotel.

The 100-point Hotel That My Husband Was Thrilled About in Hakone - All-Inclusive

ららら
Stayed in January, 2025
This hotel is a bit more than my usual budget, so I might not have chosen it otherwise.
However, this time, I booked through HafH, which had a limited-time offer that included free drinks, with no time restrictions.
In addition to soft drinks, various types of alcohol, including sake, wine, and beer, were available for unlimited drinking.
They mentioned that it is a limited-time plan until 2025/3/31, so they’re unsure if it will continue afterward…
[Later update]
It has been extended until 2026/3/31!
( ੭ ˙ᗜ˙ )੭♡ˎˊ˗ Yay!
I’m incredibly happy! I want to go again.
Unlike all-you-can-drink at an izakaya, having drinks after soaking in the hot springs at the hotel is the best.
The room had an outdoor onsen with free-flowing hot spring water, and there was also an outdoor bath in the large public bath area, with a fireplace in the lobby… It was so relaxing that my fatigue and worries just disappeared.
It's not just the unlimited drinks that make it great; the pleasant attitude of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the relaxed atmosphere of Hakone, which isn’t crowded—everything combined gives it a perfect score of 100.
It’s not just expensive, cheap, or pretty.
We wanted to retreat rather than tour.
I booked this for my husband, who loves to drink and was tired from work, hoping to bring him some joy... and it was a huge success!
We want to go again just the two of us, but I also want to go with several families or friends and chat around the fireplace.
It was an emotional one-night stay filled with spaciousness, the starry sky, and tranquility.
Be cautious if snow is forecasted.
I brought tire chains in case it snowed before heading out, but I returned without needing them; however, it snowed the next day.

Free Bus! Hot Springs! With this number of coins!?

Tomomi
Stayed in February, 2025
My first trip to Hokkaido with the beloved OMO series! I ventured into Hakodate, which had good reviews.
It's a 3-5 minute walk from the station.
Convenience stores are 3 minutes away.
You can get to the popular morning market in just 5 minutes
The location is really good.
If you want to visit the red brick warehouses, Goryokaku, or the ropeway, you can conveniently take the free bus!!
The free buses are a bit limited, but if you miss one, there are plenty of options like the city streetcar and municipal buses.
Even taking a taxi to the red brick warehouse only costs about 700 yen.
The rooms are simple, but perfect for us who just sleep as we go to the lounge and hot springs ♡
The OMO hotel cafe is very selective, so you must eat there!!!
This time I had 3 types of salted fish, squid goro potato, mixed gelato, and craft beer.
I ate everything and it was all delicious!!!
Even though I’m not good at salted fish, I ended up eating it all by myself ♡
I stayed for 2 nights because there were so many things I wanted to eat at the market, but I didn’t have time to eat breakfast 🙏 I want to do a revenge trip.
With this number of coins, I could stay and use the bus.
There are hot springs, good atmosphere, and good location.
There is nothing to complain about!
I will repeat it again ❤️

Sightseeing in Taipei with a stroller♪ Free for children up to 6 years old, a hotel I want to repeat next time with no extra charge for breakfast!
ぴい
Stayed in November, 2024
I used it for a family trip with a stroller for three people: my 3-year-old and my husband.
The room was well-equipped!
Mini fridge
Electric kettle
Two bottles of water were provided
There were tea and coffee packs.
Also equipped with a Panasonic nano-ion hair dryer and a warm water bidet toilet.
Hotel WiFi was also available.
There was a mini table and chairs, making it convenient for light meals or using a computer.
The room had enough space to easily open a suitcase.
☆ Good points
● Moving with a stroller was easy
There was a slope from the hotel entrance, an elevator, and the hallway was spacious. I could push the stroller directly to the room without any steps or stairs.
● Coin laundry was free for washing and drying
Detergent was purchased in a self-service style by putting 10 NT into a bottle.
● There was a playground and a gym for kids.
● A Sanrio collaboration 7-Eleven was right next door.
● Staff who spoke Japanese were also available.
● Excellent water pressure in the shower.
● Great location!
→ Rich in sightseeing and food options, and just a short walk to the MRT station, making it convenient for nearby sightseeing.
● There was a lounge in the lobby
Open from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., with a free coffee maker and daily tea selections, and four types of snacks you could eat as much as you like.
● Hygiene was also satisfactory
I noticed the smell of hypochlorous acid disinfectant in the hallway during the morning cleaning time, which gave me the impression that cleaning and disinfecting were done thoroughly. The room was clean without any bugs or dust.
● It’s a hotel where you can use Lucky Land vouchers.
During my 3-night stay, I used Hafh for 2 nights and a lucky land voucher for 1 night with official reservations, and they handled it smoothly. The official reservation required prepayment, but they allowed me to use the Lucky Land vouchers worth 5000 NTD and refunded the difference for the prepaid card charges. Since it was my husband's birthday month, I also received a birthday gift with the official reservation! I received 2 bottles of premium oolong tea craft beer (a Regent Group exclusive priced at NTD 260 each), and my husband was pleased! It was a delicious beer with a noble aroma♡
● You can inquire via the official email. The reply is fast!
I wanted a bed guard for my 3-year-old daughter, so I sent an inquiry regarding the reservation to the email address on the official website, using Google Translate to send messages in English and Japanese, and the correspondence was smooth, with replies on the same day or by the next day, allowing me to make my reservations with peace of mind!
● A buffet with flavors loved by Japanese people
This was the most delicious breakfast I've had at any hotel in Taiwan!
The breakfast included classic rice porridge, rice, self-toasted bread, and cereals, along with options suitable for children. All the side dishes like beef and salmon had a mild taste, making them very enjoyable. There were enough varieties of side dishes that it didn't become tedious even for extended stays, and it changed daily. What I was particularly pleased with was the presence of honeycomb every morning! Topping yogurt with blueberries, mandarin oranges, walnuts, and honey created a luxurious dessert that made me very satisfied♪
● I visited in early November. The air conditioning temperature was just right.
The temperature during my visit was suitable for a light long-sleeve season, and the air conditioning was neither too hot nor too cold, just right.
☆ Concerns
● If staying with two people, definitely choose the superior twin
Due to room availability, I stayed in both a superior twin (2 beds) and a superior (1 bed); for a family with three people, one bed was actually cramped and difficult. For traveling families with small children, a room with two or more beds is better.
While the room with one bed is allowed for up to two people, I felt the size of the bed was just barely acceptable for a group of two young women or a couple in their 20s.
The photo in this review was taken in the superior room. Photos of the superior twin room are included in another review.
● Those who want to use rinse, treatment, face wash, or laundry detergent should bring powdered laundry detergent with them.
→ The provided items were shampoo, rinse, and body soap. There was no face wash.
→ Laundry detergent is 10 NTD, so it's cheaper to buy at a supermarket or bring your own.

This was my second stay for 2 nights.
It's slightly away from the center of Okinawa, but you can easily get around by bus. It's also conveniently located for access to the Churaumi Aquarium.
This hotel offers great value for a relaxing stay. The sea (and a convenience store) is right in front, and it's within walking distance. Both the room and lounge are comfortable, making it easy to relax for a long time. I was upgraded to a spacious and fantastic room. The buffet meals were delicious too. I would love to visit this hotel again.

We are a family of three with a 3-year-old and traveling with a stroller. Please take this as a reference!
★ The room's amenities are well-equipped!
There is a small refrigerator and an electric kettle, and two bottles of water are provided. There were packs of tea and coffee as well.
The hairdryer is a Panasonic nano-ion hairdryer! The warm water toilet seat is also made by Panasonic!
The coin laundry allows for both washing and drying for free.
Detergent is self-service and costs 10 TWD to buy in a bottle.
There was also a children's playground and gym!
★ Located just below a convenience store
We arrived at Taoyuan around 22:00 by a budget airline, but check-in was until 0:00, so we hurried to the hotel by taxi.
It was helpful that there was a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel for late-night snacks! It was a cute collaboration with Sanrio too!
★ Family-friendly staff who speak Japanese
The reception staff appeared to be in their 20s and 30s, were kind to children and could speak Japanese. Everyone was friendly. They even gifted our child a balloon art during check-in and check-out.
The hotel also has a simple ramp at the entrance, making it easy to move around with a stroller.
★ Playground for children
There is a children's playground on the 8th floor that can be used until 22:00. My daughter was happy building houses with the big soft blocks and she got along well with the local boys.
★ Excellent location
It's not far to take out food from the night market or food stalls in Ximen and eat it in the hotel without it getting cold.
The hotel lobby lounge is open from 11:00 to 24:00, and there is a free coffee maker and daily-changing tea, and you can eat as many snacks of 4 varieties as you like. You can’t take food out, but you can bring in your own food. You can have tea in the hotel lobby for a break during sightseeing, and it was very comfortable not to have to worry about leaving my tired husband in the hotel while I went out!
★ Bath facilities
The bath amenities include body soap and 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner. I used my own conditioner, but the provided ones were fragrant and left a good feel. There were no issues with water pressure, which is a plus!
★ Hygiene
We stayed for 3 nights, and during the cleaning hours every morning, I could smell the disinfectant smell of hypochlorous acid in the hallway, so it gave me a good impression that they were cleaning and sanitizing properly. The room was clean without any bugs or dust.
★ Other services
During this trip, I used a subscription site for hotels for 2 nights and the official reservation for one night with Lucky Land voucher, and they handled everything smoothly. The official reservation requires prepayment, but they allowed me to use a 5000 TWD Lucky Land voucher and refunded the difference in the prepaid card charges. It was my husband’s birthday month, so I also received a birthday gift from the official reservation! They gave us two bottles of high-quality oolong tea craft beer (exclusive to Regent Group and priced at NTD 260 each), which made my husband happy too! It was a delicious beer with a sophisticated aroma!♡
I also wanted a bed guard for my 3-year-old daughter, so I inquired about the reservation via the hotel's official site email, using Google Translate to send a message in English and Japanese, and they responded smoothly, either the same day or by the next day, so I felt reassured making the reservation!
★ Food
The buffet had flavors loved by Japanese people and was the most delicious breakfast I had at the hotels I stayed at in Taiwan!
The breakfast had classic porridge and rice, self-grilled bread, cereals, and various items that children could eat.
All the side dishes including beef and salmon were mild in flavor and delicious. The variety of side dishes changed daily so that it didn’t get boring even with consecutive stays. I was especially happy that there was honeycomb (comb honey) every morning! Topping yogurt with blueberries, mandarins, walnuts, and honey became a luxurious dessert and I was very satisfied!
★ About the bed
Due to room availability, I stayed in two types of rooms: a superior twin and a room with one bed. With three people, it was cramped with just one bed, so for families with small children, I think it’s better to have a room with two or more beds! I will upload the photos of the room with one bed in a separate review!

Stayed in March, 2025
I finally visited Suiden Terrace! I enjoyed a cozy stay with a hot spring spa, a library, and local cuisine. I was glad that I had made a reservation with HafH which allows cancellations up to the day before since my original reservation date was canceled due to snowfall. I successfully rebooked for the following week and was able to stay without issue.
During the weekend in early March, I noticed many families with children and multigenerational stays. Although the highlight ‘Suiden’ was not visible during this time, the entire facility had a lovely design allowing me to forget about daily life and refresh.
There is a shop next to the front desk, but it only sells souvenirs. For snacks and other daily necessities, you need to go to a convenience store about a five-minute walk outside. There was a vending machine in the accommodation building, so I got beverages from there.

The dining area is in a private room, and they prepared a chair and futon for the child, so I didn't have to worry too much about the child making noise, and we were able to enjoy the meal together.
The food and miso soup for the child were free, and my child ate it happily.

A Perfect Urban Stay Chosen by Locals — Stay Report at OMO5 Okinawa Naha by Hoshino Resort

Stayed in April, 2024
This time, I chose "OMO5 Okinawa Naha by Hoshino Resort" for a little 'urban stay' in the local area of Naha rather than tourism. It's within walking distance to the bustling streets of Naha, including the International Street and Matsuyama, making it super convenient to go to bed right after a night of drinking. There's also parking available, so it's safe for those who drive.
Although it is not for tourism purposes, this location scores quite high from a tourist viewpoint as well. It's close to the bustling areas, yet smooth access to the airport, making it a viable base for travel.
The rooms are simple but well-designed, spacious and comfortable enough for 2-3 people to stay. It was a 'just right' hotel that fits any scene, whether sightseeing, business, or local drinking.

I had a great stay at the Club Floor with HafH! Children stayed for free! I thought I would go for a buffet breakfast in the morning, but I ended up choosing lounge breakfast due to additional charges for the children's meals. I regretted not selecting the Japanese restaurant instead, thinking I could just go to the lounge if I needed more, as I didn't have to order for the children there.

Absolutely satisfied! It's a hotel I'd love to visit again.
The first thing that welcomes you at the hotel is this spectacular view. This photo is essentially what AMANE RESORT SEIKAI is known for. We arrived a little early, so while waiting in the lobby enjoying the view of the ocean, they brought us towels and tea.
Here's the room where we checked in. It's spacious and clean! And best of all, there's a semi-outdoor bath in the room!! Nothing could be more delightful. Instead of going to the public bath, I kept going in and out of the room's bath.
Dinner was a course at the hotel's French restaurant. It was reasonable and delicious.
For breakfast, since I don’t eat much, I went out to a nearby convenience store the night before. There's a 7-Eleven about a 5-minute walk away.
Waking up to the beautiful sunrise view from the room and taking a morning bath while listening to the sound of the waves was the best!

Free Airport Transfers and a Comfortable Hotel with Great Location

Stayed in February, 2025
This hotel took care of us last year during the Chiba Lotte Marines training camp in Ishigaki Island!
There are two buildings, and one has a big bath!
They provide welcome drinks and ice!
The free shuttle bus to and from the airport is fantastic!!! Just remember to book in advance!
It’s so comfortable that I want to stay here again next year! This year, I spent a day on an outer island, totaling 4 nights here.

Stylishly stayed again✨

Stayed in April, 2025
I stayed again for my recommended activities in the Yokohama area,
for the second week in a row!
This time I had a small double room.
The projector was a wall projection type.
The only difference from the double room was that there was no sofa-type chair.
For the first time, I went to the drink corner on the 10th floor.
I was surprised that even the BGM was stylish (laughs).
I felt like there were a lot of tea options.
Since I don't drink it, I took mineral water and ice from my room and put it in a cup, then returned to my room (laughs).
If I have enough coins in the future, I would like to repeat this again.
