Story Guidelines
About Travel Story
HafH story service aims to share travel memories and experiences, along with photos, from members who have made reservations through HafH and stayed at accommodations. The posts are intended to serve as valuable information for future travelers.
HafH strives to remain a safe place for travel inspiration and expression, rather than a platform for subjective reviews or evaluations.
To ensure that stories are useful and to maintain a healthy community, we have established these guidelines for posting stories.
If the content of a story violates these guidelines or Article 4 (Posting Restrictions) of the Story Terms, the story will be kept non-public.
We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these guidelines.
How to post
- Select a reservation you want to write a story in the reservation list page
- Click the “Write your story” button in the reservation details page
- Fill in each field on the Write Story page
- Story submission complete (not yet published)
Steps to publication
Once posted, we will review the story and it will be visible within a few days. You can check the status of your submitted story on the story details page.
Guidelines
1. Post about your actual travel experiences
Share specific details of your stay at HafH accommodations and the surrounding area, and describe your experiences. Avoid content unrelated to the accommodation or unclear descriptions. Aim to make your posts useful for others.
2. Avoid posts that infringe on privacy or copyright
Do not post content that could infringe on personal privacy or reveal private information.
Examples:
- "Actor (name) was here privately"
- "Staff member (name) lives in (location)"
- Photos showing third parties' faces or names
Do not post photos that may infringe on copyrights.
Examples:
- Photos not taken by yourself or without permission from the rights holder
3. Refrain from defamatory, inappropriate, or overly critical posts
HafH is not a place to share subjective evaluations but to provide travel inspiration. Avoid content that may make readers uncomfortable or is overly critical.
Examples:
- "The service from staff (name) was terrible."
- "There were only low-class guests."
- "You'd be better off staying at (other hotel)."
4. Avoid posts with unverifiable content
Do not post content that is difficult to verify, such as hygiene issues or non-public information.
Examples:
- "The toilet in the room was dirty"
- "They upgrade your room for free if you become a regular"
5. Avoid posts related to illegal activities or criminal behavior
Do not post about illegal acts, criminal behavior, dangerous activities, or nuisance behavior.
Examples:
- "I drove from a nearby restaurant to the hotel after drinking, and it was fine"
- "I took the hairdryer, but no one noticed"
- Photos taken in prohibited areas (e.g., public baths)
- Obscene or grotesque photos
6. Avoid posts for commercial purposes
Do not post to receive money or equivalent services.
Examples:
- Posts made in exchange for rewards from accommodation facilities
Do not post for advertising or business purposes.
Examples:
- Posts including URLs to other websites
- Posts containing information about your own site
