Our Fairness Policy! Determining HafH Coin amounts for accommodation

In order to be fair, we are constantly updating our policy on the number of HafH Coins required to make reservations
HafH is a travel subscription. We want to maintain our flat-rate subscription fee while also maintaining the value for money our service offers. In order to make good on both of these things, we are in daily contact with the accommodation facilities in our network and constantly monitoring market prices. Through these actions, we have been reviewing our HafH Coin system to make sure it’s fair for Neighbors (HafH members), and from this month onwards we will be making changes on a regular basis.
So what’s going to happen?
Basically, we want the amount of HafH Coins required to make bookings to be consistent throughout the year, and have set up our HafH Coin system to reflect that. However, it is a fact that there are some areas where the number of HafH Coins required is not in line with changing market prices and Neighbor usage. In order to correct this situation as quickly as possible, and to ensure that the number of HafH Coins required for making a reservation is always appropriate and fair, we will periodically review and make changes to the HafH Coin system.
When it comes to other online accommodation websites, prices can change daily depending on season or demand. However, with HafH, when changes do occur it will likely be within the range of +/- 50 to 100 HafH Coins per night for most accommodation facilities. We will continue to make adjustments so that we can offer the fairest HafH Coin rate to Neighbors.

We recently spent about 80 hours conducting a study* based on market prices and customer usage to see if we were providing a fair service to Neighbors.
We found that overall we were able to maintain prices at 10.7% cheaper than other accommodation booking sites.
One of the reasons we have been able to provide this service is that our partner accommodation facilities have been able to come on board with HafH Neighbors’ new travel styles, and we have been able to continue building good relationships with them.
We will continue to undertake these kinds of studies/surveys to improve our travel subscription.

As users of our service already know, HafH is a flat-rate subscription service. By continuing to use HafH, your membership status changes making it easier to accumulate HafH Coins, which you can then use to visit your favorite accommodation facilities whenever you want.

【Method of Research】
– Conducted December 8 to 24, 2021
– Compared against 3 accommodation booking websites (2 Japanese companies, 1 overseas company)
– We used four price points (January and February 2022, weekdays and Saturdays), and the ratio of weekdays to day before public holidays to calculate average price.
– This average price was then compared to the price used to set HafH Coins

旅行訂閱服務HafH，為了維持固定月費及划算的價格，HafH經常性的確認市場價格並與旅宿保持聯繫維護關係。今後為了提供對Neighbor（HafH會員）公平的HafH Coin設定，本月起HafH Coin將會定期變動。
今後將有哪些改變？
理想的情況我們希望預約申請必須使用的HafH Coin一整年都是固定數量。但依照市場價格及會員使用狀況，的確有部分Coin數不適合的狀況發生。為了迅速修正並隨時保持公平的Coin數，HafH Coin需要定期檢視並調整。
其他的訂房網站皆會依照季節淡旺季而有價格浮動。在HafH，多數旅宿預計於一晚±50〜100 Coin的幅度變動，為Neighbor提供最公平的Coin數。

為了確認HafH是否在公平的狀態下提供服務，最近我們依據市場價格及會員使用情況進行80小時的調查*。其調查結果顯示，整體持續維持比其他訂房網站優惠10.7%的價格。
為了能在這樣的背景下提供服務，我們也致力於將Neighbor新的旅行方式與旅宿分享，並持續與合作旅宿保持良好關係。今後也將持續進行定期調查。
