The New Era of Carparks: How carparks can a shape a town – October 6th (Sun) @ 3pm
When old buildings are no longer used, what happens? More often than not, they get torn down and the empty space is turned into a carpark, usually as a “that’ll do for now” option. Seeing what was once a lively spot turned into a carpark can often leave the town feeling a little lonely…but could that soon be a thing of the past, with carparks in the new era being a place where liveliness and town spirit come together ? We’ll tell you all about the future of carparks in a world that’s shifting away from possession towards sharing in a new era of “shared economy.”

We’re looking for members to join our oil painting circle Studio HafH starting from October 6th! Come and learn the fundamentals of oil painting, create something of your own. The group will also be heading outside to look for places to do sketches etc.
Towards 2045: Work methods from the aspect of the traveler vs. the settler – October 11th (Fri) @ 7pm
It’s 2019 and various role models haven’t been able to keep up with the times. There are so many people in the current world wondering why their work style, lifestyle doesn’t suit them and what they can do it, or what they should do about it. With AI booming, now is the chance to really think about what is/will become of our way of living? From here, we are entering an era where diversity reigns and there is more than just one way, more than only one possibility. At this event will talk amongst ourselves on the differences between a traveler worker (someone who travels as they work) and a settler worker (someone who settles down in one place to live and work).
Japan vs Scotland: Rugby World Cup 2019 – October 13th (Sun) @ 7:45pm
We’ll be showing the rugby world cup match between Japan and Scotland on the tv screen on the first floor café/bar area of HafH Nagasaki SAI.
At the request of guests, we also watch the NZ vs South Africa game the other day and had a lot of fun!
Nagasaki was the training camp ground for Scotland and we went all blue for the time they were here, even offering blue coloured cream soda! We’re supporting both teams at HafH Nagasaki SAI, so let’s get together and enjoy the rugby!!

Great for those that want to brush up on their drip coffee tech too! You do need to register in advance.

Tabimaru Sho Lecture: Life on the move – October 18th (Fri) @ 6:30pm
The duo making waves on Twitter are coming to HafH Nagasaki SAI! We’re reaching a time where traveling the world as you live and work is no longer a dream or an extreme lifestyle, but something much more achievable and commonplace. Come along and listen to those who are already doing just that!
The Islanders Club (Round 3) – October 23 (Wed) @ 6PM 18:00
Called the Shimakko-no-Kai in Japanese, the Islanders Club is where those from the islands now living on the mainland come together with those who are interested in island life or love traveling to the islands. This time, we’re gathering to come up with slogans to promote the islands! People who know the islands well, or even those who have some interest in the islands are also very welcome to attend!
We still have many more events in the works! Coffee seminars, yoga, and as it’s October, of course we’re working on something for Halloween! Make sure to check out our Facebook for the latest information!
