Ikaho Onsen boasts a history of more than 400 years. The "Tensei Public Bath" has two hot springs, "Kogane no Yu" and "Shirogane no Yu", on a site of 1,000 tsubo, and you can enjoy a variety of elaborate baths. The rock bath on the first basement floor is a "shirogane no yu" that uses 600 tons of the natural monument "Sanba stone", and you can enjoy the bath in a simple atmosphere full of natural taste. Please enjoy the best healing while feeling the atmosphere of the four seasons in the vast garden. In addition to the restaurant and tea lounge, there is a pool (mid-July ~ late August only) and a game center, so you can spend a fun time with your children as a family. There are plenty of shops, so you can choose souvenirs slowly. Please check the following for meals. A large hot spring ryokan that's fun to stroll around

This is a huge hot spring ryokan located a little away from the stone steps street of Ikaho. Though old, it was well maintained, with a variety of baths, and the rooms were spacious and clean. There are two types of baths: a large rock bath and a regular large bath, with the rock bath alternating between male and female use at certain times. I enjoyed both, but the rock bath was particularly great. It had an interesting design, really carved out of rock, with a sauna, cold bath, and outdoor bath that were the best. Dinner is buffet style, and it seems there are options on the 3rd and 9th floors, but if you make a reservation here, you'll have a buffet meal at the 9th-floor restaurant called Amanogawa (probably the higher grade one??). The buffet is very interesting with a cart for the buffet, and it was delicious. Then for breakfast the next day, it was on the 3rd floor. Breakfast had a really rich variety, and I had trouble deciding what to eat. Everything was delicious, but definitely try the pudding for breakfast. It's exceptional. Inside the ryokan, there are foot baths, table tennis, karaoke, and more, so you can enjoy just strolling around the premises. I spent a relaxing time and checked out at 11 AM. I had a fulfilling holiday. I recommend this ryokan. By the way, it's a little far from the stone steps street, but there is a bus, and access is good. I walked back, and it probably took about 10-15 minutes. There is also a delicious onsen manju shop nearby.
