From Sendai Airport, it takes about 35 minutes by using the Sendai Airport Access Line. It's perfect for both business and travel. ■About the facility The lobby lounge is a warm space where you can feel the solemn sound of the pipe organ and the peace of the wood. There is a large public bath on the 16th floor, the top floor. Even if you are indoors, please refresh your body and mind in the large public bath in an open space like an open-air bath. ■ About guest rooms Air conditioning can be adjusted for each room. All rooms are equipped with an air purifier with a humidification function. One child can stay in existing beds free of charge. (*Excluding extra beds) The target age is up to preschoolers (elementary school students are not allowed). There is no accommodation fee for children. Children of elementary school age and older are charged the adult price for the convenience of providing beds. Convenience of Sendai Station East Exit

【About the Location】 When it comes to Sendai Station, the west exit is more open. The east exit feels like it has been developed in recent years, but this hotel at the east exit seems closer to the station compared to hotels across the pedestrian deck and arcade at the west exit. 【About Hotel Services】 It was great that guests could use the lounge from 15:00. They also had 'Kikufuku' available, which really lifted my spirits! Storing my luggage before and after check-in was smooth as well. The room had a combined makeup table and washbasin within a one-room-like setting, which I liked. It's better to have good lighting for makeup. I didn’t have to go to pick up my luggage, and especially in winter, I was able to stay warm and liked the design. The view from the room looked like a residential area. The large public bath was available until 25:00, which was nice. The showerhead and hairdryer were both Refa! I didn't use the room's shower but I think it would be better for women to go to the large public bath since the hairdryer in the room wasn’t a Refa. I would like to use this hotel again the next time I visit Sendai.

As the elevator opens, you are greeted by a magnificent pipe organ! There are music motifs scattered throughout the facility. This time I stayed in December, and Bach was in Christmas mode🎅 In the lobby lounge, from 15:00 to 19:00, there are welcome drinks & sweets, live piano performances, and free late-night snacks from 21:30 to 23:00—a lot of hospitality😌 There is a large public bath. The room wear is separate. (Be careful, you can't go to the lounge in your room wear after taking a bath and want to eat a late-night snack, haha) The room was spacious, and I was able to stay comfortably✨ The breakfast, which requires prior reservation, features menu items related to Tohoku and will definitely fill you up! The location is about a 5-minute walk from JR Sendai Station's east exit. There are fewer restaurants on the east side, so you may have to go a little further for dinner.

It's new and clean. The lounge has a wonderful atmosphere, and the music is pleasant enough to make you want to stay longer. The free drinks were also nice. However, it would have been appreciated if the changing room was cleaned more frequently during busy times.

I went to Sendai for the November three-day holiday because my husband was participating in the Miyagi Reconstruction Marathon. The hotels were almost fully booked due to the marathon 🈵 I managed to reserve this hotel through HafH. The newly built and clean interior had Bach's music playing, and it was a very satisfying stay in an elegant atmosphere! ✅ Convenient access within a 5-minute walk from Sendai Station ✅ Large public bath available ✅ Lounge for hotel guests is free to use Welcome sweets and soft drink service from 15:00 to 19:00 Hot noodles as a late-night snack from 21:30 to 23:00 At night, there was a live piano performance of Bach 🎹

I learned from a message at the hotel that I could add breakfast. Small bowls filled with the tastes of Tohoku! Not only was this visually appealing, but I could enjoy various flavors in small amounts, and with a live organ performance, I felt very elegant and happy in the morning. This breakfast seems to be available only for guests, so I definitely recommend adding it when you stay!

On a hot day, I walked from the station, but I was able to relax with the welcome service in the lobby and cleanse myself in the large public bath, making my stay very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of ingredients.

I could hear live piano performances in the lounge. The bath had a large public bath, and I was happy to find a Refa hair dryer. I definitely recommend adding the breakfast where you can enjoy local dishes from Tohoku!

During Golden Week, I booked a two-night, three-day trip to Sendai as my base. I’ve visited Sendai several times but used a hotel on the east side of Sendai Station for the first time. Exiting the east side, it was very quiet, probably because it’s a business district. I was drawn to the color scheme and reserved a Double B room, but later felt I might have preferred Double S after checking the official website—it was a slight regret. The difference is that Double B has a bathtub (unit bath), whereas Double S has a multi-functional shower booth. There’s a large bath available, so honestly, there’s no problem with a unit bath, but I thought a shower booth would be more comfortable because it separates the toilet. However, in the end, I was very satisfied because I could enjoy my favorite bath time in my room after a stay at a hotel with a large public bath. It was great to come back tired from walking and immediately have a foot bath in my room to relax my aching feet—definitely recommended! The room itself was compact yet sufficient, and the bedding was fluffy and comfortable enough to sleep well. The loungewear was a separate type and felt good against my skin—very comfortable! I was glad to find a disposable bag available to use when going to the large bath. From check-in to check-out, the lounge service for guests that changes by the time of day was very fulfilling. I especially enjoyed tasting Sendai’s famous sweets that changed daily. The sweets I encountered in the lounge were so delicious that I bought some as souvenirs at the airport. In the evening, akamoku noodles were served, and it was great that I could take some back to my room in a cup to savor slowly! I had a relaxing stay, enjoying the lounge and everything it offered, making it a great base for my travels.

I usually stay around the arcade shopping streets, but since this hotel was closer to my business trip location, I decided to try the hotel on the opposite side for the first time. I'm glad I made that decision. It was a wonderful hotel that exceeded my expectations. The hotel had a 'Bach' concept throughout the premises. What stood out the most was the late-night snacks. They offer free late-night snacks in the lobby. It was fantastic. The room was clean and perfect in every way. I hope many people can experience this hotel.

I chose this place when I visited Sendai for a B-League basketball game. It was conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from the station. I was asked if I wanted to add breakfast in the message, so I requested it. This turned out to be a great decision, as I was able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast. There’s also a large public bath, so after moving around, I could stretch my legs and relax in the bath, making it a good choice!

I arrived just a short walk from Sendai Station along the wide sidewalk. Next to the front desk, there was a lounge where I enjoyed desserts and Shiroishi Udon while listening to live music. The large communal bath was also great.

A Sophisticated Space with Bach's Music

This time, I stayed at Hotel Gran Bach Sendai, which is close to Sendai Station and part of the HafH network. There are many HafH locations near Sendai Station, but I chose to stay at the rather nice Hotel Gran Bach Sendai. As the name suggests, Gran Bach is a sophisticated hotel where music by J.S. Bach flows throughout the building. What I enjoyed was not just the background music but the attention given to all the 'sounds' during my stay. For example, the sound of the door opening and closing at the room entrance, the sound of the shower in the large public bath, and the sound of footsteps while walking down the corridor—all are designed with quietness in mind, which was impressive. Additionally, there is a pipe organ installed behind the reception desk, and live performances were held regularly. The object in the lobby, made up of many wind instruments, was also striking. The welcome service includes a drink and the famous zunda mochi unique to Sendai! You shouldn't be too greedy, but it's so delicious that you could eat several! I couldn’t take pictures, but there is a free large public bath on the higher floors. It's an open space reminiscent of an outdoor bath, and the background music is, again, J.S. Bach. It’s rare for a public bath to have background music, and it was my first experience. If you stay here, you will definitely have a wonderful experience, so if you visit Sendai, why not try staying at this lovely hotel?
