A Hidden Treasure: Savoring the Supreme Seafood Bowl in the Seas of Kyoto

I stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott Mie Kumano Kodo Mihama as my base for traveling to Kyoto! This hotel was a wonderful place filled with the beauty of nature, local charm, and above all, warm hospitality. From the moment I arrived, the warmth of the staff welcoming me was very impressive, and I received warm hospitality throughout the check-in process to the farewell. The thoughtful gestures and casual conversations left a lasting impression on my heart, allowing me to feel special throughout my stay. In the lounge, I enjoyed free drinks including coffee, tea, and miso soup, making for a relaxing time. With plenty of Wi-Fi and outlets available, it was also an ideal environment for working. Additionally, the terrace seating offered beautiful views of the autumn leaves turning vibrant red, providing a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. Local crafts adorned the lounge, and there were books available to learn about the region's history and culture. Even just stopping by during sightseeing provided enjoyable discoveries. The room also had the luxurious and clean feel typical of Marriott, being simple yet comfortable. Water and tea were provided in the guest room, a lovely touch that brought joy. Furthermore, I was fortunate to stay in a room with an ocean view, and the sight of the sea from my window added色 (color) to my special stay! The room was equipped with a sofa and desk, allowing me to relax while continuing my work, which was very comfortable. During my stay, I completed a survey, and as a thank-you, I received hojicha tea, moving me with the heartfelt service. I was able to enjoy time interacting with nature and culture in a quiet environment, experiencing the heartfelt service of the staff, making for a truly wonderful stay. It's a special hotel that I definitely want to visit again.

A Short Trip from Kyoto: A Quiet Coastal Town

The hotel felt casual yet had a calm interior and attentive service that I found charming. The concept of valuing connections with locals was reflected in the hotel and its services, where before the trip, I received an email from the hotel staff sharing recommended restaurants around the hotel. It was great to be able to plan enjoyably and make reservations beforehand, giving me peace of mind. For dinner, we had delicious yakiniku at a restaurant serving meat from Kyoto, and afterward purchased fruits and snacks at a nearby supermarket, enjoying a leisurely night at the hotel. In the morning, I took a stroll along the beach before heading to a bakery open from 7 AM that had a wide variety of breads and enjoyed it with coffee at the hotel lounge. I highly recommend both places as they were truly delicious. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The window was large, and I was happy to see a bit of the sea.

Perfect for Parenting and Working Vacation! The Allure of Nature and a Safe Journey

Hello! I'm Rika, sharing my journey as a parenting workcationer. This time, I stayed at the Fairfield Marriott in Amanohashidate! The hotel is right in front of the Kyoto express bus drop-off. It goes without saying, but it is a very beautiful hotel. The best part was the bed! It was amazing. The room was also quite spacious. I stayed for 900 coins, but if there are two of you, it's 450 coins each. On weekends, the hotel costs over 40,000 yen, so it's a great deal to stay on weekends. There were many international guests, and talking to them was enjoyable. Breakfast needs to be arranged three days in advance. I had my breakfast at a nearby bakery 🥐. There's also a supermarket nearby, so it's reassuring to change my baby's diaper. Amanohashidate is absolutely a recommended spot for sightseeing. The staff is also very kind ^_^ I will come again!
