My First Stay at Fairfield by Marriott Hokkaido Eniwa

It's very innovative with a roadside station attached! The building is sleek and beautiful with sophisticated interior design. I felt it was stylish, and the parking was free. The lounge was also very convenient and, on top of that, very reasonable, which I really liked! I will definitely come back 👍 I stayed for two nights this time.

A Quiet Environment with Fresh Air

There are bus routes from Eniwa Station and Megumino Station, making access convenient. The lounge offered coffee, tea, and miso soup, which was available at any time. There is a roadside station within the park, situated in a quiet environment. There’s also a Starbucks, so you can refresh yourself. However, there are no convenience stores nearby, so if you’re taking the bus, it’s better to buy supplies near Eniwa Station beforehand. (Minimal items can be purchased at the hotel.)

My First Experience at Fairfield

I finally stayed at Fairfield by Marriott for the first time, a name I had known for a while. It is adjacent to the roadside station "Hana Road Eniwa," and as the name suggests, I could enjoy a beautiful garden full of colorful flowers right from my room. The expansive scenery was very pleasant and soothing. The room was equipped with tea and water, which was a lovely touch. One of the charms is that you can purchase Hokkaido's unique soup curry and Sapporo ramen at the shop. It's perfect for travel memories. Also, in the lounge next to the entrance, I could enjoy free coffee while working at a seat with an outlet, making it incredibly convenient. Although it is a bit of a distance from the nearest station, after checking in, I received 2000 yen worth (two 1000-yen tickets) of taxi tickets usable in Eniwa City, which was very useful for sightseeing and moving after checkout. My stay at Fairfield by Marriott was more fulfilling than I had imagined, and it was a very satisfying trip!

Beautiful Garden Hotel with Blooming Flowers

As the name Eniwa suggests, this Fairfield by Marriott Eniwa is located in a spacious garden filled with beautiful flowers, adjacent to the roadside station Eniwa. It is relatively close, about 30 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport and three JR express stations, and I stayed using HafH due to the overnight flight transfer. Recently, hotels around New Chitose Airport have been becoming expensive and fully booked, so being able to stay without fluctuations using coins is very appreciated as an option. Moreover, not only for business and sightseeing, but it is also a convenient location for baseball games, being about a 20-minute drive from Escon Field. [Arrival] Even on my second visit, it was very confusing to find the entrance to the parking lot and the entrance. You can walk from the roadside station, but for cars and motorcycles, the entrance is marked with the 'HanaFuru' sign, and the entrance is located past the roadside station. Please be careful with the entrance if you arrive by car. Parking is free. [Room] The rooms and facilities are similar to those at Fairfield across the country, with a major feature being that the rooms have only shower rooms without bathtubs. There is a rain shower (coming from above), so be especially careful of the direction when turning the handle if you do not want to wet your clothes or hair. Turning it towards the back activates the rain shower from the ceiling, while turning it to the front activates the handheld showerhead. The shower room comes equipped with rinse-in shampoo and body soap only, so if you’re concerned, please bring your own conditioner. There’s no changing room, and the restroom is separated by a partition behind the washbasin. Roomwear is provided in a cotton, button-front style. The bed is very comfortable with a plush mattress for a good night’s sleep. Canned water is provided based on the number of guests. There is a round café table, but no desk. As the room is compact, it might feel a bit cramped for opening up a suitcase. [Kitchen] The shared kitchen on the first floor is available 24 hours a day, equipped with coffee, tea, and miso soup among drinks, an ice maker, microwave, toaster, plastic wrap, foil, chopsticks, and spoons and forks, allowing for easy prep of food that you purchased at the roadside station or brought in from outside, as well as groceries bought from the hotel marketplace. [Laundry] Self-service laundry is also available 24 hours, but payment is only possible using cashless methods after downloading the app in advance. Washing machine: 300 yen per load; dryer: 100 yen for 20 minutes. [Environment] Since it is located within a garden, walking around is very pleasant. During pleasant weather seasons, having breakfast at the hotel terrace or at a table and bench in the garden is also wonderful. I was healed by the beautiful flowers that bloom as if to celebrate the short summer of Hokkaido, and the staff were very kind and warm, exhibiting wonderful attention to detail and hospitality. Although my stay was short, it was very comfortable and a wonderful hotel! During the long winter, heavy snow will likely cover everything, but that season must also be beautiful.
