Pros ・Great atmosphere ・No TV / Audio equipment available / Quiet as it is on a high ground ・Includes a light breakfast ・If you have a car, Rycom is nearby ・Rooms on the 1st floor have parking right in front Cons ・A 10-minute walk from the bus stop (uphill, tough in summer) ・The entrance on the 2nd floor is somewhat unclear ・The lounge is small compared to the number of rooms / not suitable for work ・No backrest on the chairs in the guest rooms ・No hand soap

"SPICE MOTEL OKINAWA" is a renovated motel originally called a "drive-in hotel" located in central Okinawa for travelers who move by car. Built over 50 years ago, it was abandoned and then rebuilt, preserving its former history. This hotel is a place where adults can come together (to put it nicely). Throughout the hotel, international radio broadcasts from U.S. military bases flow in the rooms, allowing guests to enjoy a sense of being in a foreign country while listening to it as background music. The room features a large bed and a toilet shower, as shown in the pictures. There’s also a cozy space where you might wonder if you're in Okinawa or America. I felt Okinawan when I had the traditional "chin-suko" for breakfast.

This hotel is a renovated motel from the past. The guest rooms are located on the second floor and accessible only by stairs. The rooms are beautifully renovated. AFN (FM radio for U.S. military personnel) is playing in the room. The staff at the reception are very kind. There is no bathtub, only a shower. It was a bit disappointing that there was no washlet. Also, since it used to be a motel, similar buildings are located nearby.
