My memorable first stay at HafH was here. It is a conveniently located hotel directly connected to the station, making it easy to find. It's a large local hotel with an upscale atmosphere, including wedding venues. There's a shopping mall "Sunst Okayama" in the station building and Aeon Mall (one of the largest in Western Japan), so you won't have trouble with shopping or souvenir selection. There are plenty of restaurants nearby as well. The night view from the high floors was beautiful! Since I stayed on a weekday, I also saw many businessmen using it for business trips. The facility had a calm atmosphere, a sense of cleanliness, and was comfortable to stay in. Being close to the station and the absence of shopping worries made for a perfect hotel stay.

I came to Hotel Granvia Okayama, directly connected to Okayama Station, through HafH. Operated by JR West Hotels, it opened on March 25, 1995. Due to its excellent location connected directly to the station, it seems to be used for various purposes such as meetings, weddings, conferences, and banquets in addition to accommodation. I planned to stay for one night around Okayama Station and decided to stay at Granvia Okayama, which is close to the station. I arrived at Okayama Station just before sunset. JR Okayama Station and Hotel Granvia Okayama are directly connected inside the station, so there's no worry about getting wet even when it rains. This is a very convenient location for those who have business around Okayama Station. From the ticket gate of Okayama Station, I headed to the shopping mall "Sunstreet Okayama." Hotel Granvia Okayama is just beyond the Sunstreet Okayama with a connecting passage. At Sunstreet Okayama, there are plenty of eateries and Okayama souvenirs, so I didn’t have any trouble finding meals. The second floor of Sunstreet Okayama is connected to Hotel Granvia Okayama, so I went down to the first-floor entrance to check in. Even with a HafH reservation, you check in just like a normal reservation. You inform the front desk of your reservation name and, once verified, they show you to your room. The room I stayed in was a single room, with a unit bath. The single room felt like a typical city hotel. The quality of Hotel Granvia Okayama, which I visited this time, is definitely that of a high-class city hotel. I stopped by only during my journey, but the facilities have a calm atmosphere with a sense of cleanliness that can be used not only for sightseeing but also for weddings, business meetings, and conferences. I think it is a suitable hotel for those looking for a reliable and comfortable place to stay around Okayama Station. I highly recommend visiting at least once!
