In addition to the main tourist attractions, Hakodate is filled with undiscovered attractions such as the Hakodate Free Market, which has been loved by citizens for 70 years, historical landmarks scattered throughout the city, and food stall villages bustling with night views.

The concept of OMO5 Hakodate is “120% Hakodate. From the morning market to the nighttime market after the night view, we hope that visitors will enjoy Hakodate in all its charms and ways that are unknown to them, as well as on the highways.

Choice of guest rooms to suit the purpose of your trip

OMO5 Hakodate has a total of 245 guest rooms in 12 types. All rooms are equipped with shoes removed for a relaxing stay, and HafH offers “Superior Twin Rooms” recommended for a wide range of situations, such as couples, married couples, and friends.

Neighborhood Activity “So Satisfied! Morning Free Market: Tour of Specialty Shops

The “Neighborhood Guide OMO Ranger,” a hotel staff member who loves his neighborhood, will take you on a guided tour of Hakodate’s “Hakodate Free Market,” which has a 70-year history in Hakodate. The free market is lined with about 40 fresh fish stores and fruit and vegetable stores, and is always bustling with locals as the “Citizens’ Kitchen. The market is also characterized by the large number of stores specializing in each type of fish, and the high quality of the fish is well documented. The market is also known as a “professional market” where local chefs come to stock up.

At 9:00 a.m., when the market is at its busiest, you will head out with an OMO Ranger, who will guide you around the free market and ask you about the day’s best fish and seafood at each store. You will be given a special taste of the fresh seafood that has been carefully processed during the tour, so you can shop with confidence while comparing the different foods at each store.

”Hakodate Guru Guru Free Bus” for smooth transportation and sightseeing

The Hakodate Guru Free Bus, which tours the city’s sightseeing spots, is a free tour bus available exclusively to guests staying at OMO5 Hakodate (before check-in and after check-out are also available). The bus departs from OMO5 Hakodate and makes a round trip approximately every hour. The route connects Hakodate Free Market, the Bay Area, Motomachi Park, Mt. Hakodate Ropeway, and Goryokaku, allowing visitors to visit all spots by combining the riding time.

A hot spring with free-flowing hot-spring water to relieve travel fatigue.

The “Amber Hot Spring,” a large bathhouse exclusively for guests with an indoor bath, open-air bath, sauna, and water bath, is a hot spring that is free-flowing from the source. Its brownish-brown color with iron content and the quality of the spring water that easily warms and does not easily lose heat keep you warm. After a long day of walking around town, a refreshing soak in the hot spring will refresh your body. After taking a bath, you can cool off in the open space with a hot spring drink at the OMO base.

“OMO Dining” and “OMO Cafe & Bar” with Hakodate’s unique menu

OMO Dining” offers a morning buffet with a sumptuous array of seafood to raise your morning spirits. In the center of the dining room is a live kitchen inspired by Goryokaku, where dishes are prepared in front of your eyes and served at a star-shaped counter. The bright, open space features a squid-ink dyed art board and fishing net lighting, evoking the sea of Hakodate, blessed with abundant fishing grounds.

The buffet table with a Goryokaku motif features a wide variety of Kaisen Five Stars: Kaisen Don, Robata Yaki, Ushio Ramen, Sushi, and Ikameshime.

At OMO Cafe & Bar, located inside the OMO Base, you can enjoy “HAKODATE Chowder” made with luxurious seafood broth, and the unique Hokkaido “Closing Parfait” made with cheese. From café time to bar time, this is an all-day café that can be used casually regardless of the occasion.
