I wanted to combine the hotel reservation with hafh's reservation using consumer points, so I chose the same hotel, but when I checked in, the reservation class was different (hafh had the better room), and I caused some trouble for the front desk, but they managed to keep me in the same room for three days. *I paid an additional fee. I had heard from reviews that the shower room only had a curtain for the toilet and shower partition and that it could get soaked with water due to the shower pressure, so I changed the position of the shower, and it worked out fine. They replenished two bottles of water every day, and breakfast was included. The breakfast menu included Taiwanese-style options, as well as plenty of toast and fruit. Breakfast could be used until 11 am, so it could be utilized as brunch as well. The coin laundry was on the 3rd floor, but it was quite hidden away, so I didn't use it this time, but there were dryers and washing machines available, and it operated on a coin basis. Pajamas are not provided. Items like toothbrushes, razors, and combs are available at the front desk, so you'll need to take what you need. You are required to deposit a 1,000 TWD security deposit during check-in, which will be returned to you at check-out. There are two elevators, but during busy checkout times, I couldn’t get on for about three times due to being full, so it's better for those with plans to leave early. There was a staff member at the front desk who spoke Japanese. The location is convenient with a Seven-Eleven on the first floor. In front of the hotel, there's an entrance to the MRT Ximen underpass, so you can use the MRT without getting wet even when it rains. It takes a little over 5 minutes to walk from the underpass to the ticket gate. It was posted next to the elevator that there is a paid pick-up service from the airport. We took a taxi from MRT Taipei Station A1 for 95 TWD. It was 115 TWD for an early morning return. It was convenient to take a taxi since they can drop you off at the intersection of the hotel.

Arrived in Taipei on a Late Night Flight!

Arriving at Taoyuan Airport late at night, I took a bus to Taipei Station! I chose a hotel within walking distance from Taipei Station. I was surprised to check in in Japanese! There was a Seven-Eleven on the first floor, which is convenient for late night arrivals.

I was able to book a stay at HafH on the night of December 31st! A few days prior, I stayed in a double bed room, but the twin bed room has an interesting bed arrangement. It's very close to Ximen Night Market and also near the nearest subway station to Taipei 101, which is convenient for the New Year's countdown. We also received a commemorative gift from the hotel for our New Year's stay, making it a perfect stay!
