The Mitsui Garden Hotel, familiar even in Japan, is thriving in Taipei as well, and at the front desk, you can communicate in Japanese and the service is of Japanese quality, which was very satisfying. The large public bath is also available for free for guests, and I think it’s a hotel where first-time visitors to Taipei can stay with peace of mind. As a Japanese, I was also happy to have a bathtub! Highly recommended!

While there are hotels without bathtubs, this one has a large public bath on the top floor, so I was able to relax and relieve my fatigue in the spacious bathtub after returning from sightseeing! There are always Japanese staff or staff who can speak Japanese, so I was able to ask questions in Japanese anytime, which made my stay comfortable. The cleaning was thorough, and the hotel was very clean and luxurious. The station is right in front, and there are convenience stores and Mos Burger nearby! It's a hotel where even those who are not used to traveling abroad can stay with peace of mind.

During my 6-day, 5-night trip to Taiwan, I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The key point for choosing this hotel was the large bath, which allowed me to heal my tired body in the spacious bathtub, and it was very good! The room was spacious, and the bed was larger than a single bed, making it easy to share sleeping space. What I appreciated most was the presence of Japanese staff. There were several staff members who could speak Japanese, which made me feel very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. Right in front of the station, with a convenience store just a short walk away. There are also Mos Burger and Starbucks, so it’s possible to have breakfast outside! On the 2nd floor lounge, you can get free bottled water. It was nice to be able to drink coffee too!

We stayed as a family with two preschoolers. We were able to sleep together in the same bed. When I needed to quickly buy something I forgot for my baby, I asked the front desk where I could find it, and they kindly helped look it up and even had a Japanese staff member come out to explain. It was reassuring to know there was always someone who spoke Japanese available. In the lounge, we could enjoy complimentary water, tea, and coffee. The large public bath was relaxing, and the room was equipped with tea utensils for Chinese tea, allowing us to unwind comfortably. The bed was spacious, making co-sleeping comfortable. They provided a baby bed, and at breakfast, we were given children's dishes and chairs. The location is also convenient, just 30 seconds from the station. It was a comfortable and reassuring stay.

I saved coins to stay at the coveted MGH Taipei Zhongxiao! The front desk staff were smooth in their assistance in both Japanese and English, and they handled my luggage before check-in efficiently. The room was very spacious and clean ★ It was a room with only a shower, but there was a public bath available, so I could relax and soak in the bath ◎ Access is convenient, and the rich variety of shops on Yongkang Street is within walking distance＾＾ Also, there is a hidden gem breakfast spot near the hotel ◎ I highly recommend this hotel for those traveling to Taipei for the first time.

Working from home with my husband while taking care of our baby sometimes makes me envious of families with older children who can travel. This time, we chose the Mitsui Garden Hotel Taipei Zhongxiao, which has an excellent location. After making the reservation, I used the messaging feature to express my hope for baby cots and other baby supplies. The hotel informed me that they had plenty in stock, and they provided everything for us, which made me feel very reassured. Having Japanese staff at a hotel overseas is very reassuring. There was a sense of security in everything, from the toilets to the large public baths. Even when abroad, there’s a feeling of comfort similar to Japan when sleeping! There was something like a smart speaker, which made me feel the future, haha.

The interior design is inspired by Taiwan's rich natural beauty, and the guest rooms beautifully incorporate elements of Taiwanese culture. You can experience Japan's high-quality and attentive service and relax in a large public bath, which is rare in Taipei. ▼ Location The hotel is within a 1-minute walk from the exit of Zhongxiao Xinsheng Metro Station, allowing for relatively dry movement even on rainy days (it is not directly connected to the station). Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station connects two metro lines, particularly the Bannan Line, which is frequently used for tourism, making it very convenient to access various attractions. It is just a 15-minute drive from Songshan Airport and 20 minutes by train, making it very accessible. ▼ Room The room is adorned with Taiwanese textile foot throws and art, featuring a lovely design with green accents. The provided tea bags are from Jingyu Sheng, and the design of the teapot and cup is also tasteful, allowing for a relaxing time enjoying tea while feeling the essence of Taiwan. While the room is slightly smaller, the separated shower room and toilet are convenient to use, and all necessary amenities are provided without any waste. The bed has outlets and USB ports on both sides. The comfortable two-piece nightwear is a nice touch, and having a toilet with a washlet is a pleasant feature. ▼ Facilities Notably, the hotel features a large public bath, which is rare in Taipei. The cleanliness and the amenities provided are reminiscent of a well-maintained public bath in Japan, allowing for relaxation. Although there is a slight smell of chlorine, it ensures that proper disinfection is done, so I felt secure using it. You can enjoy coffee and water in the lounge (fourth photo). There are also art pieces and books available, adding to a lovely selection. While I did not use it this time, there is a casual restaurant within the hotel that was bustling with people. ▼ Service The service was consistently polite, allowing me to feel the essence of Japanese hospitality. Check-in was smooth, with no accounting errors common in overseas hotels, allowing for a pleasant stay. The hygiene and cleanliness were impeccable, and the location was excellent, making it highly recommended for any use, whether for tourism or business.
