This hot spring inn offers a variety of hot spring facilities where you can relax amid rich natural scenery. The outdoor baths and large public bath are spacious, allowing you to enjoy different atmospheres depending on the bath, such as by the river or in a garden. Especially appealing is the riverside outdoor bath, where you can unwind while feeling close to nature. There are also private baths available for those who want to cherish their private time. This is an ideal place for those who want to forget their daily routine and refresh both their mind and body in a quiet environment. Moreover, the facility is equipped with various amusements suitable for all ages, including a kids' park, karaoke, table tennis, a game corner, and a relaxation room. In the spacious relaxation room resembling a forest 🌳, you can enjoy reading 📖 or relaxing in massage chairs. During my recent stay over the New Year 🎍, I was very moved to see a performance by the Yatsugatake Senzu Taiko in the lobby before dinner. I was also impressed by the kimono reception at check-in. The buffet featuring around 70 types of dishes using ingredients from Nagano Prefecture is among the best I've experienced in all the hot springs and inns I've visited nationwide. The areas are divided into Japanese food, Western dishes, sweets, and soft drinks; I particularly enjoyed the freshly made sushi 🍣 and tempura 🍤. Furthermore, we could relax as a family in a room where we could enjoy the seasons of Tateshina from the window.

The Best Hotel for Families with Children

We visited by car. However, the nearest station, Chino Station, is accessible directly from Tokyo via the Azusa train, and there are shuttle buses from Chino Station to the hotel, so I would like to take the train next time. The parking lot is spacious, but because it's spacious, it felt a bit far from the front desk after getting out of the car. However, the staff kindly guides you at the entrance to help with the luggage. The room was wonderful, and the bathroom was not a unit bath but had a washing area, which was helpful. The large communal bath has a baby bath and baby beds, which is convenient. The yukata designs for both adults and children were rich and cute! The meals were fantastic! The taste was delicious, and there was also a buffet corner for children, plus small rice balls for breakfast, which was my highlighted point! The menu ranged widely from standard items to creative dishes using local Nagano specialties. There were plenty of children's chairs, and the staff quickly prepared them, which was great. As a critical comment, I was a bit sad that the menu was completely the same since we stayed for two nights. However, since there were still things I hadn’t eaten, there might be a possibility of getting bored with multiple nights. There were both paid and free kids' play areas, so there were plenty of places to enjoy, and we never got bored. In the relaxation area for adults, there were paid massage chairs and a few children's picture books and comics. Ice cream and milk were for sale there, so kids asked me to buy them (laughs). While we didn't participate this time, there is an option for rainbow trout fishing, which I think would be a fun educational experience and enjoy the flavors of Nagano! Lastly, the shop sells baby bottles, formula, diapers, etc., so even if you run out, it was a reassurance. However, since there are no convenience stores or drugstores nearby, I recommend preparing your items in advance! I will definitely stay here again!
