About 5 minutes by car from the Tamba IC on the Kyoto Expressway. Take Route 9 toward Ayabe, and from the Shuchi intersection, take Prefectural Route 444 toward "Ajimu no Sato" To. Please note that the parking lot on the expressway side is not accessible outside of the opening hours of the roadside station. 【Precautions when visiting the museum during the winter season】 Depending on the day, snowfall and ice burn may occur, so we recommend wearing studless tires when coming.

When I arrived at the hotel, the check-in staff humorously remarked, "In our case, Mr. hafh, your price is too low!" The stay was consistently of Fairfield quality. Children under elementary school age can stay for free, which is great for families using hafh. The bed height delighted the kids. The ceiling shower added a delightful touch of the extraordinary. For our family of three with kids, the king bed was sufficiently spacious, but personally, I dislike gaps forming in the bedding, so I let the other two use the bed while I opted for a foldable mat and sleeping bag on the floor for the car camping experience. Speaking of Fairfield, it’s part of the roadside station project, and the Kyotanba Ajimura attached to the hotel is quite appealing. Though restaurant hours are limited, the store is open from 6 AM to 9 PM, making it convenient even with poor conditions like late arrivals or early departures. Both at night and in the morning, a reasonable selection of goods was available, and I purchased various bento and sweets, all of which I found to be quite delicious compared to the usual roadside stations. They also accepted credit cards.

A hotel that is truly nestled in nature, it’s a wonderful place that makes you want to return when you just want to do nothing. I was deeply moved seeing various guests gathered in the lobby, celebrating or working remotely. You can also have meals at the adjacent roadside station, and enjoy a drink right after checking in. Thanks to hafh, I was able to stay at my favorite Fairfield Hotel at a good price. The bed was cozy and became my favorite. From my room, I could overlook the sea of Amanohashidate through the city. The marketplace had local specialties, making it easy to enjoy regional products, which was one of the highlights of my stay. Thanks to this, I was able to relax.

My stay at Fairfield was my second location. It was enjoyable to relax in a stress-free space that felt like home and to buy my favorite products at the road station while enjoying local consumption! 〈Facility〉 I stayed at Minami Yamashiro last time, but the structure of the room was almost the same, so I felt reassured. There is a shared lounge on the first floor, and vending machines and simple snacks are available. There are rooms from the first to the third floor, and it felt like there were more rooms than at Minami Yamashiro. 〈Lounge〉 Coffee, tea, and miso soup are free. The coffee seemed to be from Kaldi and was quite good. Although it is charged, Tanba wine was also available and served in a glass. There were several groups dining in the lounge at any time I went there. 〈Room〉 While it wasn't extremely spacious, it was genuinely relaxing. There might be a feeling of warmth from the wood in the space. The hair dryer was powerful, and the ample number of outlets made it easy to spend time there stress-free. Fairfield does not have a bathtub, only a shower, but it is surprisingly warm even in winter. 〈Amenities〉 Amenities include a toothbrush but no toner, so bringing your own is a must. Also, the provided shampoo is a 2-in-1 rinse, so if you are particular about shampoo, you might want to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as well. (The rinse-in shampoo at Fairfield smells very nice, but especially for women, some might find it a bit tangly.) 〈Access〉 You can also reach it by public transportation! There are several ways to get there, but this time I took the train to Goma Station and then a bus. Be careful as both train and bus services have few runs. 〈Meals〉 I had lunch at the food establishment at the road station before check-in, and for dinner and breakfast, I enjoyed items purchased at the road station in my room. First of all, the staff's response and consideration were excellent. The facility was clean and simply designed, located in a quiet area, allowing for a calm stay. Tea and coffee were provided for free in the lobby lounge. The coffee enjoyed on the outdoor deck in the morning was very delicious, enhanced by the natural air. There was no bathtub in the room, only a shower.

I stayed at "Fairfield by Marriott Kyoto Kyotanba" as a base for sightseeing in Kyoto. Throughout my stay, I had a wonderful experience where I could enjoy not only sightseeing but also a comfortable space and the charms of the local area. In the lounge, there is a free drink service where you can enjoy coffee, tea, and even miso soup for free. This service, which allows you to take a breather between sightseeing, was a very nice point. Additionally, with Wi-Fi and power outlets available, it is the perfect environment for doing a little work during sightseeing. The facility is adorned with local crafts and has a collection of books where you can learn about history and culture. Spending time while looking at these was also enjoyable, almost like a quaint museum where you can touch the culture of Kyoto. A stay for a family of four. At Fairfield by Marriott, it's very convenient that one child under elementary school age can sleep in the same bed with one adult. Since this was my second stay at Fairfield by Marriott, I was also reassured as I was familiar with the facilities and amenities. There were also different areas unique to this facility, providing enjoyment during my stay. In the shared lounge, I had breakfast with my family and was able to do some work comfortably as well. I could also relax by going to the outdoor terrace and enjoying free coffee.

Relaxing Nature Trip with a 3-Year-Old

We used it for a one-night, two-day stay with our 3-year-old. It was great that the Ajiyume no Sato (roadside station) was next door. We got dinner there and relaxed while eating at the hotel😊 There were a toaster and microwave to heat the bread we bought at the roadside station, and a microwave steamer, so we could steam and eat Tanba black bean edamame, which was the best! If I had to say, I would have liked a bathtub. It was just a shower. The room was quite simple. I thought it might be that way to accommodate the dogs that can stay too. And once you get to the hotel, there are only the hotel and the roadside station, so please be careful. If you need anything else, there is a drugstore and a Lawson about 10 minutes away by car.

Due to my daughter's day off from her sports day, we spontaneously decided to stay at this hotel that had caught my interest for a while. Since her birthday is coming up, I devised a plan that my daughter would also enjoy, which included visits to Kiyotaki, a comprehensive sports park, and a cafe within 15 minutes from the hotel, resulting in a very satisfying trip. The hotel was almost identical to the pictures, the bed was fluffy, and it was very comfortable with thorough cleaning. However, I found it a bit disappointing that there should be a bathtub, even if small, when traveling with children. I read in the lounge and enjoyed morning coffee. The coffee was delicious, and I had three cups. The nearby roadside station is really just a short walk away, so it was great to be able to buy fresh vegetables early in the morning before checking out.

Free Co-sleeping for Elementary School Students!

Staying was very economical since co-sleeping for elementary school students is free! At check-in at the hotel, they ask if you have any children co-sleeping, so when I said two, I received towels and water for the number of people! The coin laundry has separate washers and dryers, with two of each available. The room was very clean! The bed cannot be moved. One thing to note is that the refrigerator does not work very well!
