[Solo Trip] Business Trip Using Shinkansen and Train

Since I had a business trip to a nearby prefecture two weeks ago, I combined that with an overnight stay for a half-day sightseeing experience. Since I was staying Friday and Saturday, it was a bit pricey compared to other sites, but using Haf, I was able to get it for around 100 coins, which was very reasonable. I saw other people's posts, and it seemed to have a good reputation, so I decided to choose this place. [Check-in & Check-out] The front desk staff guided me, and the check-in process went smoothly. There seemed to be many international guests, and all the staff were foreign, but they were very courteous, and there was no problem. I received a room card to access my room and a key for the safety deposit box to store valuable items. [Front Desk Service] Near the front desk elevator, there were loungewear, earplugs, and slippers available. Additionally, during check-in, I received a complimentary coffee or tea. The Kaga Hōjicha (a type of tea) is a specialty of Ishikawa Prefecture. I was also given a limited-time sample of propolis. [Room] I thought it might be the size of a capsule hotel, but I was really surprised by how spacious it was. I was satisfied with the stay at this price. The comforter was a bit thin, but it seems I could borrow an electric blanket from the front desk if I asked. The TV was large and mounted on the ceiling, and I could enjoy it comfortably by connecting to the headphone jack. I happened to have my own work headphones, so I didn't have to buy any, but note that basic headphones are available for rent for a fee, so if you visit, bringing your own compatible headphones would be a good idea. Having two outlets was also a pleasant surprise. The refrigerator appeared to be shared, with one unit per floor. [Toilet & Large Bath] The toilets were located right outside each floor and, although I thought they might not be very clean, I was pleasantly surprised by how clean they actually were. Moreover, there was an iron available for women (for both curling and straightening). The large bath was of moderate size, and the sauna was also satisfactory. Given the price, it's excellent value for money. After checking out, I could also leave my luggage, which made it very convenient for sightseeing without being weighed down. There are several hotels in Ishikawa Prefecture that I want to explore, but I'll definitely consider using this one again soon given the reasonable rates.

The facility is very clean, and the convenience is excellent. The sauna and bath are particularly fulfilling. The lounge can be freely used, making it suitable for both remote work and solo dinners without any worries. The pods themselves are clean, and equipped with TVs, making it a great hotel if you don't mind small spaces. I would definitely return.

It takes two and a half hours from Tokyo to Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen. Kanazawa is a city that makes you want to visit again and again. This time, I stayed at Trifleet Hotel & Pod. Honestly, I didn’t expect much thinking it was a capsule hotel, but the location and facilities exceeded my expectations, and I was very satisfied. Everyone has their own way of enjoying travel. Focusing on sightseeing and food this time turned out to be a great success 😆. The large public bath has a sauna, a big safety deposit box, a large TV, and it was clean + comfortable = very satisfying. The front desk has a small lounge that is open 24 hours, so I didn’t expect such a wonderful stay for this price… The next morning, after refreshing in the sauna, I walked to Omicho Market to eat sushi for breakfast, which was also very satisfying ✌️. I felt it was important to effectively use the HafH accommodations according to travel purposes during my Kanazawa trip.

I was surprised to enter the room after receiving the room key! I was able to relax in a spacious Japanese-style room. My elderly mother was also happy to have a safe and comfortable stay, which made me very pleased. The shared spaces were also quite spacious.
