I used this place for an overnight stay after my trip. Although I live in the city, considering the schedule and the fact that my flight arrived at Haneda on the nearly last flight, plus having to go to work the next day, I decided to stay in Hamamatsucho for one night due to concerns about my energy levels. My stay was short, from just before 11 PM to 8 AM, but it was comfortable, as the shower room and sinks were not overcrowded and I could use them without any issues. If I had to point out one issue, it was that the women's zone and men's zone were separated, and there were also separate elevators for security reasons, but I spent the most time waiting for the elevator. The water facilities are on the 1st floor, lockers (some cabins available) on the 3rd floor, and cabins on other floors, so each time I needed to get my luggage, I had to use the elevator. Although I could only move between the women's floor and the lounge, there are a total of 10 floors, so it often took a while for the elevator to arrive, making it important to plan what luggage I needed based on my movements.

A Lounge Where You Can Spend Quiet Time While Overlooking Tokyo Tower

The lounge on the top floor was amazing. I was able to relax and enjoy the beautiful view of Tokyo Tower in a calm atmosphere both at night and in the morning. Many people were working on their computers, creating a peaceful environment. I could also step out onto the balcony and loved that aspect, spending nearly an hour both in the morning and evening. Even though it was a Saturday stay, it wasn't crowded, and the shower room was vacant, making the capsule quiet and comfortable. The only downside was that the air conditioning felt a bit warm, but the price was affordable and the cost performance was great, so I would love to stay again.

A Nostalgic Solo Trip in Hamamatsucho

I stayed at this hotel, just a 2-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station, as a base for my solo trip in Tokyo. The location was excellent, being close to the station and conveniently accessible for shinkansen and flight movements. What impressed me the most was the exclusive lounge on the top floor for guests. The spacious panoramic view and open terrace provided a close-up view of Tokyo Tower, and both daytime and nighttime views were beautiful, making it hard to leave. In the lounge, I was able to enjoy a relaxing time with a cup of coffee I took out from a nearby cafe. Additionally, the entire facility being non-smoking was a comfortable and enjoyable point. The room was clean and provided a cozy space perfect for solo travelers. It was a wonderful hotel where I could forget the hustle and bustle of the city and spend my time leisurely!

As a base for my solo trip in Tokyo, I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel just a 2-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station. Its convenient location is perfect for pre-boarding for shinkansen or flights. What left a strong impression was the lounge on the top floor, exclusively for guests. From the 360-degree panoramic view and open terrace, you could see Tokyo Tower up close, and both the daytime scenery and night illuminations were beautiful, making it a place I wanted to visit repeatedly. During my stay, I had to check out once, but there was a service to clean the bed in the meantime, so when I returned, I was able to enjoy a pleasantly tidy room again. The entire hotel is non-smoking, ensuring a consistently clean environment, making it perfect for solo travelers.

Even though it's in the business district, the indoor space is very quiet and clean. If you're just looking to sleep, this hotel is perfectly fine. There are many foreigners and young guests, but they all follow good manners and use the space quietly and cleanly, so I would definitely recommend it even to those who have a negative image of capsule hotels!

Convenient Capsule Hotel Near Haneda Airport

I arrived at Haneda Airport after 10 PM and thought it would be good to stay somewhere easy to get to, so I chose this place. It took 25 minutes from Haneda Airport on the Keikyu line, with no transfers, to reach Daimon Station, and then it was a 5-minute walk to the hotel. I arrived after 11 PM, but there were still many restaurants open, and I had a late dinner. Since I stayed on a Friday, the front desk was busy with people checking in around midnight. The shower room is on the first floor, the lockers are on the third floor, and the capsule I stayed in was on the fifth floor, so I had to keep going up and down, and it took a while for the elevator to come, which was a bit inconvenient. The capsule itself was a clean, standard capsule. From the lounge, you can see Tokyo Tower beautifully, and I thought it would be nice to buy dinner and eat it in the lounge.

Here's my flow: Upon arrival, I checked in automatically at the counter with the number I received in advance → Locker room on the 2nd floor for baggage and shower → Dining out → Lounge on the 10th floor for night views and drinks → Capsule on the 5th floor for sleeping. *You need the QR code issued at check-in for the lockers. 〇: The rooftop on the 10th floor has the best night view. It's a bit disappointing that rain is not allowed outside. You can see Tokyo Tower. There are many places to eat nearby and several convenience stores. There are power outlets available. ✕: You might want some earplugs. Overall: I want to use it again. *Typically necessary items: smartphone and charger.

Meaningful Time Alone

This is a capsule hotel, but somehow I was able to sleep soundly and it was perfect for reflecting on myself! The staff at the front desk were wonderful! You can also go out to the rooftop, so for airplane✈️ lovers, there's a photo opportunity with Tokyo Tower🗼!! Everyone can enjoy their own time in the co-working space. 😌 There are many convenience stores nearby.

Nine Hours is neat everywhere. Hamamatsucho is close to the station and has a small shared space. I can't recommend it for people who dislike feeling confined, but if you just need a short stay to sleep, it's super cost-effective.

Affordable and Comfortable Space

The location is about a 5-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station, and since it’s a bit off the main street, it’s not too crowded even though it’s close to the station, making it quiet at night. Inside the capsule, it’s basically the same as other Nine Hours locations, equipped with USB and power outlets, but nothing particularly special in terms of facilities. Check-in was simple as I received the QR code for check-in via SMS in advance and just needed to scan it at the terminal. Additionally, the locker key is also a QR code sent to my smartphone, so there’s no need to worry about losing cards, which was convenient. A toothbrush, slippers, lounge wear, and bath towel are provided, so there’s no need to bring much to this accommodation, but since there is no cup for brushing teeth, you might want to bring a toothbrush with a cup if that concerns you. On each sleeping floor, there is a shared space right at the elevator exit, where you can eat, drink, or work on the computer. The night view is not that beautiful as it’s between buildings, but it’s a place to relax a bit. When sleeping, as shown in the last photo, most outside light is blocked, so I don't think it will be too bright to sleep. However, depending on the guests, you may need to prepare for some noise due to the capsule specifications.

The accommodation is just a 2-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station and the subway Daimon Station, so even with heavy luggage, the movement is minimal. You take a separate elevator for men and women to the floor with the locker room and capsule beds. The lounge is located on the 10th floor, where you can relax while enjoying the view of Tokyo Tower. While the lounge does not have a refrigerator or a kettle, there are multiple convenience stores nearby, so it's not a problem. It is advisable to finish your shower and use the elevator early, as they get crowded before the checkout time of 10:00 AM.

I used Nine Hours Hamamatsucho, which is located within a 5-minute walk from JR Hamamatsucho Station, Yurikamome Hamamatsucho Station, Tokyo Monorail Hamamatsucho Station, and even Toei Subway Daimon Station, yet it is quietly tucked away on a back street! I chose this hotel since it seemed convenient for my trip to the Tokyo Big Sight event after arriving at Haneda Airport, and it was indeed a great choice! The station was close, and there were late-night restaurants and convenience stores, so I never had trouble during my stay. The facilities are similar to other Nine Hours locations, but the elevators are separated by gender, with only one for each, and perhaps due to the high occupancy rate during the holiday, it took a long time to get to the lockers & shower room on the second floor, which felt inefficient. Moreover, the lounge on the 10th floor has only a handwashing sink and a trash can; there are no hot water dispensers or microwaves, and with no background music, it is a very quiet space, making it difficult to have meals. Of course, food and drink are prohibited in the capsule floor, so dining outside is preferable. On the day of checkout only, you can leave your luggage in the shared space on the first floor, but since it is a place that anyone can enter freely, there is a security concern, so you use it at your own risk. Overall, there are some tough points, but the convenience surpasses them, so I would recommend it for those who can accept those trade-offs. There is also a staircase from the lounge to the rooftop terrace where you can see Tokyo Tower from the roof, which was a nice touch.

Arriving at night, the view of Tokyo Tower from the 10th-floor lounge was exceptional. Each guest is provided with a foot mat for the shower, ensuring cleanliness. The capsules are slightly larger than traditional ones. There's no TV, radio, or clock, but that's not a problem at all.

The First Choice for Accessing Haneda Airport!

About transportation: Take the Haneda Airport Monorail for 25 minutes directly to Hamamatsucho Station, and then it’s about a 3-minute walk to Nine Hours Hamamatsucho (9 hours sleep laboratory hotel Hamamatsucho). After spending one night here, I plan to choose this place for the first day after landing on my subsequent trips to Tokyo. About the hotel space: In addition to convenient transportation and the view of the Tokyo Tower from the rooftop terrace, the hotel has electronic card keys that separate the floors for men and women, including a first floor with about 10 separated wet and dry bathroom areas, a third floor for storing personal luggage (locked with an electronic card key; a 28-inch suitcase can fit, but don’t forget to ask the front desk for the lower luggage space), female capsule spaces on the 6th and 9th floors (even this area has windows with external views, isn’t that beautiful?), and a shared space for men and women on the 10th floor with a rooftop terrace. About the room: To be honest, this is probably my first time sleeping in a real capsule pod. The pure white design made me feel completely unconfined, and the pillows and blankets were of very good quality. I guess it’s because the upper and lower levels fit so closely that even going up the stairs or turning over didn’t make any noise; the quality of the guests was also high, and the whole place was quite quiet, looking like it had Japanese female business travelers around 25-35 years old rather than tourists. I really loved it.

As I live in the countryside, when my favorite artist had a concert in Sendai, I had to take the last train from Tokyo the previous day just to get sleep before taking the early morning Shinkansen. I stayed at this place, which has good access. It was my first time in a capsule hotel, and I was nervous, but even at 165 cm tall, I was comfortable and slept soundly. Since it was early morning, I was able to see Tokyo Tower from the rooftop before it got bright. The women's only floor was reassuring. I would like to stay here again when I have an early flight! The coins were also reasonably priced.

Perfect for Early Morning Flights from Haneda Airport! Rapid Transit to Haneda Airport in No Time!

Arriving at Haneda Airport Terminal 3 at 5:12 AM via the monorail at 4:59 AM. And it's rapid transit! The train was relatively crowded with many people carrying suitcases. If you take this, you can arrive at any terminal by 5:15 to 5:20 AM. You should be just in time for domestic early morning flights. I realized for the first time that there was such a method. This is truly the highlight! Lockers can accommodate suitcases, but for those with larger ones, many were placed outside the lockers. There were quite a few foreigners as well. Each area has a counter with large windows, and it seems you can also have meals there. Some people were buying food around and having dinner there. (It is unconfirmed if eating is allowed at every counter on each floor. There is an upper floor where you can eat.) The building was beautiful and designed without unnecessary elements. The elevators are separated for men and women, so I never encountered the opposite sex. The shower room was also a private space with a changing area, which was reassuring. If I had to nitpick, I found the bedding and the soft, thin pillow a bit unsuitable for me. The first train arrives at Haneda Airport in no time!

There are tables outside, and you can go out 24 hours. However, I don’t think there are power outlets outside. There is no coffee service, but there are many convenience stores nearby, so it’s not inconvenient. Since it's a capsule hotel, it can be a bit disturbing if someone snores, but earplugs are provided. Lastly, let me explain how to use this place briefly. After checking in, you will take the gender-separated elevator. The men's and women's areas are completely separated. For men, there are lockers on the second floor, so you can store your luggage there. You can use showers and hairdryers on the same floor. When it's time to sleep, you move to the floor with the capsules and go to sleep. The capsules are equipped with USB ports and power outlets.
