If you're going to Hakodate, this is the place! In fact, I want to go to Hakodate just to stay here! It was fantastic and I loved it. ◼︎ Room The cleanliness was impressive, and I could also see the sea from the room. The complimentary mineral water and snacks were a nice touch. I appreciated having two types of loungewear available: a one-piece and pajamas, allowing me to choose what I preferred! ◼︎ Bath The open-air bath was absolutely amazing! The bossa nova music was very healing. The sauna also had windows, making it open and wonderful. ◼︎ Breakfast Breakfast was truly incredible!! I was overwhelmed by the variety of dishes, and I couldn't finish everything in one go. While it's common for hotels in Hakodate to serve great seafood, this place not only had seafood but also offered Chinese, Western, and Japanese cuisine, along with desserts. Everything was not only visually appealing but delicious and satisfying! I’ve stayed at many hotels in Hokkaido, and honestly, there have been times I left disappointed thinking, 'It wasn't as great as the reviews said', but this place exceeded my expectations. ◼︎ Service The aroma & pillow bar was excellent. I could select my favorite scent from many options and bring it back to my room. The selection process was enjoyable, and I thought it was a lovely service. Overall, my satisfaction level was high, and it became one of the places I want to stay at again. The unique services like the bossa nova in the open-air bath and the aroma bar were wonderful and unlike any other hotel.

This was my first time at Century Marina Hakodate. As it’s very popular, the hospitality can be felt in every corner of the hotel. ◇ Welcome drink ◇ Fluffy bed with two types of pajamas provided ◇ Aroma oil & pillow bar ◇ Open-air bath with a view… hot spring ◇ Special event → A wide variety of breakfast buffet with no shortcuts. The ikura was amazing, and the bread was serious. The live feeling of pancakes and omelets was also great... What impressed me was the squid salted fish. Thick, sweet, and delicious was a revelation. Where can I buy that... Breakfast buffet + 3,500 yen is a dream price, right? In Hakodate, just a bowl of ikura don can cost about that much... That’s how high the amusement level was in the breakfast buffet. If you can eat a lot, definitely add more. The white rice served warm in a pouch was also nice. For bread lovers, the wide variety of breads is irresistible. (There’s melon bread! I was so moved) I almost missed the free miso soup made with clams at the table. It was also perfect for hangovers. 　 I have stayed at several hotels in Hakodate, but I think this buffet is number one in variety. The variety of drinks was also amazing. Acai drinks, lassi, chai latte were way too rare for breakfast. As expected, Century Marina Hakodate! If I were to mention a downside, ○ It’s a bit of a walk to major spots (like Brick Street or Starbucks). However, it’s also walkable to Hakodate Station (unless it snows). ○ The open-air bath is cold (laughs). There is a certain embarrassment about being seen naked from afar. But overall, it’s a hotel I would want to stay at again.
