A Solo Festival Trip!

I used it for an overnight stay before heading to PayPay Dome. - Transportation It was convenient to get there in 2 subway stations from Hakata Station, just a short walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station. I got off in Hakata once, but it's only 4 stations from the airport. It's also just one subway ride to PayPay Dome, but there's a bit of distance from the nearest station to the dome, so I used the bus. I boarded in Hakata because I had some errands to run, but it’s about a 15-minute walk from Tenjin Bus Terminal, so I think you can walk there while sightseeing. - Check-in/Check-out You can do it online in advance, which is convenient. - Guest Room It felt like a comfortable capsule hotel with a large bed. It was tough to stand up on the bed, but I didn't bump my head or limbs, and the width was fairly spacious. Even when raising the bed to a sofa style, there wasn't much space at the feet, so it might be tough for those with suitcases. Since I had only a backpack, the side hook was enough for me. The overhead shelf unexpectedly came in handy for placing things I wanted to grab quickly. There was a function that automatically turned on the lights and raised the bed at the set time, so I was relieved as I was worried about disturbing others with the alarm. - Security Like a regular capsule hotel, it's only separated by curtains. I missed asking where the lockers for valuables were (not sure if they even have them), so I carried my valuables with me. Currently, only unisex pods can be reserved from Hafh, but since there seemed to be availability on the women's floor, I was able to switch, so it wasn't too inconvenient. There was some noise from opening and closing the curtains and entering and exiting the floor, but the manners weren't bad. - Shower/Toilet There were 2-3 private rooms with dressing areas and shower booths (one was under repair), and there were as many washbasins with good dryer power. I was able to enter smoothly during the time I went. It seems like you could wait in the washroom during busy times, but it wasn't spacious. The toilet was also in the same area and was clean. In the unisex floor, I felt that if no one else was around, I might be conscious of others' eyes. If I hadn't been able to change, I might have used another place the next day. - Common Areas Overall, it was very stylish, and I enjoyed the atmosphere. In the lounge, you can drink water and coffee for free and charge your devices. There were amenities and tea packs available for free at the front desk. Hot water isn't available in the guest room but can be obtained in the lounge. If you have a drink with a lid, you could bring it into the guest room, but I forgot to buy a water bottle in advance and without a vending machine, I ended up having to go to the lounge just for water after a bath. I recommend purchasing what you need in advance.

Stylish & Smart Pod, Comfortable and Recommended!

The first floor is a cafe and bar, and at first, I wasn't sure if I was at the right place, but the front desk staff were very kind. When I went to the prepared room, there was a large bed. I was a bit moved because this was the smart pod I had seen in photos (laughs). When I sat down, it was fluffy and comfortable as a sofa space! In the evening, there’s a drink-all-you-can beer and lemon sour! When I was free, I connected to the power and WIFI in the co-working space and watched videos on my smartphone, so I spent my time without any complaints! It’s also close to Nakasu-Kawabata Station and has good access to the airport, so I thought I would like to use it again next time! By the way, I stayed on Saturday, December 28th, and although it was over 20,000 yen officially, it was a flat rate of 250 coins at Hafh! I'm so grateful (laughs)!

The Millennials Fukuoka, a capsule hotel connected to THE LIVELY, is just a 10-minute train ride from Fukuoka Airport. It features a restaurant and bar on the first floor, and a lounge on the second floor where you can hang out with friends or get some work done. Additionally, they hold a happy hour from 5 PM to 7 PM, where you can enjoy unlimited beer and lemon sour! It’s a great idea to have a drink and enjoy the streets of Fukuoka✨ Finding this hotel was perfect since I had an early morning flight and was looking for a hotel close to the train that takes me directly to the airport. The access was really convenient and it was fantastic.

The Perfect Place for a Solo Trip in Fukuoka!

I traveled while based in Fukuoka and Hakata! The charm of the hotel I stayed at was definitely the digital art and unique interior. Everything was photogenic, and there were stylish items I wanted to have in my home. The bar area with a high ceiling was dazzling, and a drink enjoyed there was exceptional. Moreover, there was a one-hour free beer time starting around 5 PM, a great point for beer lovers! Additionally, on the second floor, there's a lounge and work space where you can enjoy coffee or tea for free, perfect for working. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the exit 2 of Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the subway. And I was impressed by the capsule-type beds! With a dedicated iPod, you can freely adjust the bed's shape to sofa or flat, and when the alarm is set, it transforms back to the sofa shape in the morning, allowing for a comfortable wake-up. This makes the alarm clock, often a drawback of capsule hotels, easy to use. It's the perfect hotel for a solo trip! If you come to Fukuoka, make sure to experience it.

A Stylish and Casual Capsule Hotel Stay in Fukuoka

Since I was staying alone after my plans in Fukuoka, I chose a hotel prioritizing cost performance. Compared to other hotels, it had a low coin count, and the interior was very clean, which was great. Although it is a capsule hotel, there was plenty of space, and the bed was fluffy, allowing for a comfortable stay! In the evening, it was nice to have free beer and lemon sour provided. Also, I was able to use the coworking space for free, and since I had time until my departure the next day, I utilized it. I was able to work comfortably, and I was happy that coffee was available!

New Era Capsule Hotel

The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from the subway station Nakasu Kawabata, and can be reached from Fukuoka Airport directly without any transfers. Since it is in the same building as the LIVELY hotel, it should be easy to find by looking for the building with the LIVELY sign. To enable a smooth check-in, I received an SMS on the morning of my stay, and if I completed the procedure there, I could check in without waiting (of course, if difficult, it was fine to check in at the front desk on the day). Personally, I felt resistance when the screen to enter credit card information came up, and I couldn't proceed from there, so I had to show my credit card at the front desk to check in that day. This credit card entry is supposedly to facilitate processing as room charges when using services and also serves as a guarantee in case of damage, and the front desk staff assured me that it would be encrypted and they wouldn’t be aware of it, so I felt secure. They say you can enjoy free beer for about an hour in the evening at this hotel, but I didn’t get to taste it because my check-in time was late. On the first floor, there is a bar and a restaurant, creating a relaxed atmosphere with stylish seating to hang out in. On the second floor, various seating arrangements were provided, making it a space where lovers could talk, businessmen worked on their computers, and students prepared their reports. I also felt that there were quite a few innovations such as an area for playing billiards and a place for printing commemorative photos. The guest rooms have ceilings about 1.5 times higher than those of regular capsule hotels, and since there is no second floor, you can change your clothes while standing. Also, the beds are quite high, so the space underneath them is spacious enough to store suitcases and backpacks there. Amenities were provided in front of the elevator on the first floor, including toothbrushes, cotton sets, and earplugs. Two types of towels were placed in the guest room, and I needed to bring these for the shower. Additionally, there are no sleepwear, so you will either need to bring your own or purchase some for 300 yen. The type of sleepwear is as shown in the photo. At first, it is in the shape of a sofa, but when it’s time to sleep, you can operate it by pressing a button on the iPod provided in the room. You can also control the lighting and alarm with this iPod, which allows you to adjust the alarm from the bed to the sofa angle and to turn the lighting up, designed not to disturb other guests. I found this to be quite an innovative feature. There are more than enough power outlets in the room with four sockets, but the USB type is occupied by the iPod, so you need to bring a plug-type one as well. As for the external light while sleeping, the bed is high, and the gap under the bed makes it almost completely dark. I wanted to take a photo, but nothing came out, so I didn’t upload it. It was that dark. However, sounds such as the opening and closing of doors and the switching sounds from the bed to the sofa can be heard. If you are particularly sensitive, using the provided earplugs is a good idea. Overall, it’s a facility that surpasses the usual capsule hotels; however, one downside is that, like most capsule hotels, the security is not particularly high for the co-ed rooms. First of all, the rooms do not lock, so you can enter someone else's room whenever you want. Also, not only the rooms but also the shower rooms and toilets are shared, so although they can be locked, there is a risk that someone might invade before you can lock it or that a small camera for filming might be installed. There were many foreign women in the wash area, so perhaps international guests are less concerned about this, but if you have even a slight reservation, I think it is worth considering for both men and women. However, as it is inevitable for co-ed capsules and dormitories, if you can accept it as such, it’s only comfortable. I had the best sleep ever in a capsule hotel, and I would like to use this hotel again when I come to Fukuoka.

A Trip Enjoying the Remnants of Summer in Fukuoka

This time, during my long-awaited trip to Fukuoka, I stayed at "The Millennials Fukuoka." When you hear "capsule hotel," you might have a cramped image, but in reality it was very comfortable, the room was just the right size, not too big and not too small. What I particularly appreciated was the service that allowed us to enjoy one hour of free beer in the evening! Given that it was a hot day, relaxing with a cold beer in hand was the best time ever (*ﾟ∀ﾟ*) Moreover, I was lucky enough to be able to switch to a female-only pod due to availability. It seems that this isn't always possible, but I was fortunate on this day. During my stay, the "Nakasu Jazz" event was taking place, and the hotel area was filled with the sounds of jazz, making for a very lively and enjoyable night.

Since all I had to do was sleep, I booked this. Smart pod = wall sofa bed wall Sofa ⇔ Bed is remote controlled. The bed is fluffy. There is a fan, so it wasn't hot and easy to sleep. In sofa mode, I could change clothes standing up, which was more comfortable than a capsule. The first picture was taken from in front of the bed. Chic Capsule Hotel for Women Solo Travel

It was located in a very easy-to-find place, just a 5-minute walk from Nakasu-Kawabata Station on the subway. I was a bit anxious about staying in a capsule hotel as a solo female traveler, but when I entered, I was excited by the stylish and beautiful atmosphere, feeling quite elegant ♡ In the evening, there was a free drink service at the bar counter, and I enjoyed a beer! It felt like I was abroad as there were foreign guests drinking at the bar, and in the shared space, people were enjoying billiards ♡ Inside the pod, there was a spacious bed with an electric reclining feature, making my stay very comfortable. They also lent out hair straighteners, which helped minimize my luggage! In the morning, there was a free coffee service, and I enjoyed a delicious coffee, having a relaxing morning before leaving.

The bed is not in a capsule style but a cabin type, so it's spacious and comfortable. The free-space kitchen is helpful with free coffee, a water dispenser, and an ice maker available. The free beer from 5:30 PM is attractive, and you can enjoy draft beer and lemon sour.

A hotel located in the center of Hakata and Nakasu. It’s an evolved capsule hotel where you can spend your time comfortably. The beds and other amenities can be adjusted using the provided iPad for height and comfort. In the evening, there is a free drink time where you can enjoy as many drinks as you like, including alcohol and juice, for free—very generous! Not only that, but you can also enjoy Hakata souvenirs like mentaiko senbei. The second floor is a lounge where you can have free coffee and more at any time. The shared showers and toilets are clean as well, and the shower has great water pressure, which I love. This hotel is perfect for those who want to save on accommodation costs and spend more money on travel!

A Hotel for New Experiences

First of all, the entrance was luxurious. Then, the electric bed that I was looking forward to was comfortable and provided a different experience compared to previous capsule hotels. I also found the alarm system interesting, where the backrest of the bed rises, and the lights turn on. I have stayed at several Millennial LIVELY Hotels across Japan, but this hotel in Fukuoka has a stylish bar inside, is just a minute's walk from the famous ramen shop Ichiran's main store, a few minutes walk to the yatai street, and only a few minutes walk to the nearest station. The cocktails I had at the hotel's bar were exquisite.

Fukuoka Rainy Season Solo Trip⛩️

For my 2-day solo trip, I chose The Millennials, a capsule hotel I had been curious about for a while. I was excited about its high livability♬ The electric reclining bed provided a very cozy space. The shared shower room was also clean and easy to use, and I could relax in the glamorous common area in the evening while sipping a chuhai I bought. For breakfast, I had a buffet style meal where I could choose the main dish for 1820 yen. The croffle with eggs benedict in a stylish space was very delicious and satisfying. It was just a 1-minute walk from the station, making it very convenient, and I would like to stay again next time.
