In the evening, there is a free beer time where you can enjoy beer for free. Inside the room, there is a bed that automatically flattens out, allowing for a comfortable stay. ✨ 🔌 The facilities are solid! ✅ There are outlets and USB ports ⚡🔋 ⚠️ The USB port is connected to a phone for raising and lowering, so it cannot be used for personal charging 📵 🎒 There’s ample storage space! ✅ Suitcases and belongings can be stored under the bed 🧳✨ ❌ However, you cannot lock it, so please be cautious with your valuables! 💡 The room was full of thoughtful designs that made me say, "Wow! I utilized this during a quick trip to Kyoto during Kyoto Travel Week! Firstly, it was helpful that I could store my luggage before check-in◎ I did online check-in beforehand, so it went smoothly. There were quite a few foreign visitors, and it seemed that foreigners were handling the check-in at the front desk! Though it’s a capsule hotel, it has a futuristic vibe, with individual beds🛏 provided for everyone… I was happy that there was an iPod provided, and it reclined so with the push of a button I could set it all up! 💡 You can also set an alarm to wake up automatically—such a new experience✨ Additionally, there was a room with a bathtub🛁 in the shower room (probably only one?), which was spacious and made me happy. In the shared space, there are also co-working users, but there are many seats (tables, sofas, desks), and in the morning and evening, it's only for guests, so you can use it comfortably!! There’s an open kitchen that can be used freely, making it perfect for workations as well ❤︎ From a sightseeing perspective, there are rental bikes available for 1,200 yen a day or 200 yen an hour, making it a good way to explore Kyoto’s spots! It’s a bit of a walk from the station (it’s located between two stations), which was a bit unfortunate… It was too cold to walk in winter. (It’s on a major road with city buses running!)

Let me start with the conclusion. If you want to go on a journey visiting bars alone, Millennials Kyoto is the place to be. I’d like to highlight a few reasons why. 1. Free Beer in the Evening From 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM, they offer free beer for an hour. You can enjoy the view of Kyoto from the 8th floor while having your casual pre-drinks alone. Since it's free, you can help yourself to as many refills as you want. I could spend my time searching for trendy lounges to visit during my stay. 2. Located in the Heart of Kyoto’s Entertainment District Right in the middle of Kyoto’s bustling area, between Kawaramachi Sanjo and Shijo. Moreover, there’s a covered shopping street in front of the hotel, so it's no problem even if it rains. Convenience stores are right next to the hotel, and Uniqlo is just a 30-second walk away, so even if you're in need of clothes due to the cold or heat, you can quickly get what you need. I forgot my running gear for the next morning and was able to purchase it immediately. 3. Beds and Lighting to Prevent Oversleeping One worry when you've been drinking is whether you’ll wake up in the morning. At Millennials, the beds automatically rise when you set an alarm. The snooze function gently raises the bed in stages until you are completely awake. The lights in the room also turn on simultaneously with the alarm. The bed rises to quite an angle, making it nearly impossible to stay asleep, ensuring that you definitely wake up. Say goodbye to oversleeping. I woke up around the second stage.

The Best Base for Exploring Kyoto!! (Let's Rent a Bicycle 🚲️)

[Well-equipped Shared Spaces] Personal space is mainly in the Pods, but there's also a lounge (for group meals or conversations), a kitchen (with dishes, cooking utensils, oven, and free coffee), a co-working space (with high-speed Wi-Fi, private booths, and power outlets at every seat). Everything is perfectly designed for both private and business use. [Free Beer in the Evening 🍺] Nothing beats free beer after moving around and after work! [Bicycle Rental] Available for 200 yen for one hour or 1,200 yen for the whole day (until 11 PM)! I will include the places I visited using the rental bicycle in the travel story!

First, I was surprised that the front desk is on the 8th floor! Then, I was shocked by the stylishness of the shared space! Furthermore, I was amazed by the size of the pod! It had a width similar to a single bed, fully automatic reclining, adjustable lighting, and ventilation, making the pod very comfortable! However, the shower booth door was too heavy and hard to close, and many people seemed to blow-dry their hair with the door ajar, which was noticeable even with earplugs since the pods were close together... You can get free earplugs at check-in, so definitely take them! Haha.

This time, it's an untitled expedition to Kyoto. I participated in the "Ho. Festival" of the Kyoto idol group Kinoho. The accommodation was at "The Millennials Kyoto," which I had been curious about for a while and is conveniently located on the bus street in Kawaramachi. And most importantly, I got to experience the electric reclining bed I had wanted to try. At first, when it was in the upright position, I thought there was no way I could get on it! But once I laid it flat, it was super comfortable, and you can set a timer for the bed to rise, so you won't oversleep—this was fun.

Most of the guests are foreigners, so conversations in the lounge are mostly in English. The free beer time offered opportunities to talk with people from different countries, making it an exciting stay.

Since it was possible to work before check-in and after check-out, I brought my laptop and worked for the most part. I enjoyed lunch in Kyoto city. There was also free drinks available during work, so I ended up drinking quite a bit of coffee. Furthermore, there were private booths available, so I could hold remote meetings.

I used this space for a workation in Kyoto. The workspace offered unlimited tea and coffee, and even hot chocolate, which I consumed in abundance while working... There’s also free beer available for a limited time. Above all, the workspace is on a high floor of the building. The view is fantastic. I would work hard, and when I got hungry, I'd explore Kyoto and eat a lot before returning to work... It really boosted my productivity.
