A Reasonably Priced Hotel in Asakusa

My experience staying at HOTEL TAVINOS was like a special moment as if I had jumped into the world of manga. As soon as I checked in, I was greeted by a uniquely designed space themed around manga. Surrounded by illustrations covering the walls and colorful decorations, I felt as if I became the protagonist myself. What impressed me the most was the hotel’s collection of over 1,000 manga available on the premises. Taking my favorite volume in the lobby lounge while relaxing with a coffee was the ultimate luxury. Additionally, the complimentary light breakfast offering bread and coffee was perfect for charging my energy before touring. Although limited in quantity, it made waking up early more enjoyable. Furthermore, the hotel features abundant facilities to support travelers, including free Wi-Fi throughout and a free luggage storage service, making for a comfortable stay. The coin laundry, available 24/7 with washing machines and dryers, was also very convenient, especially for longer stays. The charm of this hotel lies in the fact that it's not just a place to stay; it allows you to experience Japanese culture fully while enjoying your own travels. During my stay, the exciting sensations of festival-like cheer lingered throughout. I felt that this was a hotel I would love to visit again!

First and foremost, the dream-like perk of having unlimited access to over 1000 manga! Finding your favorite work and losing track of time while reading is simply the best. Once you start reading with a coffee in hand in the lobby lounge, time disappears in an instant (book lovers, beware!). Additionally, the free snacks and coffee provided are a highlight! If you wake up early and head to the lobby, delicious bread and coffee await you, and it is utterly delicious. Since it's limited in quantity, it’s worth getting up early. Plus, the coffee welcome drink is available until midnight, showcasing how high the hospitality is! The free Wi-Fi is perfect, allowing for a smooth connection anywhere in the building. It’s stress-free for researching during your travels or posting on social media! Plus, there is a free luggage storage area, making it perfect for those who want to actively sightsee. Unlimited Manga Reading! An Interesting Hotel in Asakusa

I stayed at "Hotel Tabinos Asakusa" through HafH! Hotel Tabinos Asakusa offers unlimited manga reading services. With a wide selection of works, from trending titles to classics, it’s perfect for a cozy stay. The titles are changed regularly, and you can bring up to 5 books to your room. Check-in is a self-check-in process using a terminal. What’s interesting is that you can choose your room number from available rooms. I recommend choosing one facing the Skytree! The room 923 we stayed in had a great view of the Skytree. The hallway also has fun anime-themed designs that heighten the excitement! The Hollywood twin room is almost all bed… honestly, it’s a bit cramped. The room has a foldable table and one chair, but it’s unstable and a bit hard to work on the computer. If you need to work remotely, the second-floor lobby might be a better option. There’s no refrigerator in the room, so be careful! From the room, we could see the Skytree, Hanayashiki, and Senso-ji Temple. I think it’s worth it to have a Skytree view at this price! Some rooms do have frosted glass with no view, so definitely choose one facing the Skytree. The lounge can be used 24 hours, where you can read manga or have meals. The drink bar only had coffee and tea. There’s a water server, hot water, and an ice maker. Furthermore, there’s free rental of board games like backgammon, Rubik's cubes, and chess. In the morning, the Yomiuri Shimbun morning edition was available for free.

I stayed at Hotel Tabinos Asakusa. The hotel’s most distinctive feature is its unique design inspired by manga. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you've entered the world of manga, creating an exciting atmosphere. The walls and room decorations are styled in a manga fashion, creating a space that manga lovers will adore. The room itself was compact yet functional, allowing me to rest my tired body after a day of sightseeing. Overall, it was a hotel perfectly suited for a stay in Asakusa with a fun theme and convenient location. I definitely want to stay here again.

[Accommodation Experience] Hotel Tabinos Asakusa

I traveled to Hotel Tabinos Asakusa, located in Asakusa, Taito Ward, Tokyo, through HafH. The hotel opened in July 2020 and has quite a unique concept centered around Japanese manga. There are several ways to get there, but I walked from Asakusa Station. It takes about an 11-minute walk from the station. On the first floor, there was a Lawson convenience store. Having a convenience store in the hotel is quite convenient. If you walk around to the back of the building, you will find the hotel entrance. After taking the elevator, head up to the second floor where the front desk is located. Upon entering the front desk and lobby area on the second floor, I was already immersed in the unique world of Tabinos. The distinctive atmosphere inspired by manga onomatopoeia was overwhelming. The room I stayed in was a Hollywood twin room (non-smoking) type. It was quite compact at 12 square meters. The interior design was also illustrated with a manga-like festival theme. Although the room was small, there were thoughtful space-saving features like drink holders and small items storage near the pillows. There were also plenty of outlets and USB ports, so I never had trouble charging my devices. Behind the bed, there was a door leading to the toilet and bathroom. To be honest, this area was a little cramped. Beyond the window was the Tokyo Skytree! You can see it from quite a close distance. On the second floor, there was a self-check-in and check-out machine which the staff encouraged me to use. During check-in, I was allowed to choose an available room myself. I asked the staff which room had a good view of the Skytree and selected one from the available options. Since the hotel is manga-themed, there is a bookshelf in the lounge filled with manga that guests can freely read. There's also a drink machine where coffee and juice are available for unlimited refills. It’s a great place to relax. I have no doubt this hotel will be popular among foreign tourists. As a Japanese person, I feel it might be a bit exaggerated catering towards foreign guests, but its unique atmosphere feels one-of-a-kind and special. If you’re tired of regular business hotels and looking for something a bit different, I highly recommend staying at Hotel Tabinos Asakusa.
