■Area Our inn is conveniently located just one stop from Kyoto Station, but it is also located in a special area where history and culture are still very much alive. This area was once a government-sanctioned entertainment district, and even today it is still lined with traditional shops and galleries that attract visitors. In the surrounding area, there are many historical temples and shrines, as well as local restaurants, bathhouses, and cafes within walking distance. While enjoying Kyoto's culture and cuisine to the full, you are sure to make new discoveries each time you go out for a walk. Please enjoy your stay not only as a tourist, but also as a way of integrating into the everyday life of Kyoto. ■Facilities At our inn, we offer a special experience that allows you to deeply interact with Japanese culture through all five senses, rather than just staying overnight. We propose a journey that will refresh your body and mind and return you to your true self, in a space that fuses the traditional Japanese-style house, which exudes a hundred-year-old atmosphere, with modern comfort. Yoga and meditation classes are held at various times to help you escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. In addition, you can enjoy valuable opportunities to experience traditional Japanese crafts and spiritual culture through tea ceremony and cultural workshops using seima and tatami mats. The area where Hachi is located is a residential area that is attractive for its proximity to Kyoto Station and its quietness. It is a little way from the tourist-packed Kawaramachi area, so you can stay in a relaxed atmosphere. There are local cafes and restaurants, public baths and hot springs dotted around the area, making it perfect for those who want to experience Kyoto life and stay for a while. The interior of the building has been designed to emphasize the beauty and tranquility of Japan, with tatami-matted floors and wooden beams, so you can spend a comfortable time here. Please enjoy not just sightseeing, but also a moment to experience the depth of Japanese culture while healing your mind, body and spirit. ■Rooms The guest rooms at our inn feature a design that fuses the traditional beauty of Kyoto with modern comfort. The tatami-floored rooms and shoji screens, which preserve the essence of Japanese style, provide a sense of peace that makes you forget about your everyday life. In addition, all the guest rooms and common spaces are fully equipped with amenities that have been carefully selected to ensure your comfort during your stay. From a moment of healing surrounded by silence to a high-quality time to recover from the fatigue of travel, every consideration has been made so that each guest can truly relax. ■Meals We offer a simple but heart-warming complimentary breakfast every morning. There is also a Kyoto wholesale market nearby, and there are many popular local breakfast restaurants that open from 6am. You can enjoy menus that use fresh local ingredients and a unique local atmosphere. In addition, we can also arrange special vegetarian meals for those who wish to try them. We recommend this for those who want to experience Kyoto's traditional food culture. We will help you to make your stay a rich time for both body and soul. ■Notes ・This inn is a non-smoking facility.
