I used this for a girls' trip! I saw reviews saying it was a bit cramped, but it was not at all, and we were able to organize our luggage while opening up our suitcases for two people. First, I received smooth and polite service from the reception. It was nice to have a welcome drink, so I could relax with a coffee in the morning or after returning! In the morning, there were free bread and waffles, which is a nice service for those who only need a little. The guest room was spacious at the entrance, and the best part was having a bathtub where I could take a proper soak! *Note: Since it is a corner twin, some other guest rooms might not have this feature. The hinoki bath additive provided had a relaxing effect, and I added it every day. The shampoo and conditioner are made from botanical materials. If you need treatment, it’s better to bring your own. They provided dorayaki as a tea snack, and there was also a Nespresso machine in the room, so I could enjoy coffee there too! It was such a lovely accommodation that it would be a waste to just stay! P.S. I often use charge spots (rental chargers), and there were four next to the reception! They were frequently rented out at night, so I could return them at the hotel.

The location is very convenient, with good access to subways and bus stops. There is also a convenience store nearby, which was helpful during my stay. There was a welcome drink service, and I could have coffee, tea, and some rare broth multiple times during the service hours. The room was a bit compact twin, but it had a small table which was convenient. It was a shower-only room, but it was clean and spacious, and the shower functioned well. The staff were kind, and I felt it was a clean hotel with good cost performance. I would love to repeat when I come to Kyoto again!

I booked in line with a Hafh event. The entrance had a Japanese atmosphere from the start. Of course, the room also had a 'Japanese' feel. The lounge is spacious and having a welcome drink is nice. Breakfast includes free bread and coffee, and for an extra charge, you can have a makunouchi bento.

A Relaxing Hotel Convenient for Sightseeing in Kyoto

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights during my first visit to Kyoto. I was worried as I had no sense of the area, but it was easy to find, located just a 10-minute walk from Shijo Station on the subway, a little off the main road. I had a heavy suitcase, but there was an elevator at exit 1 of Shijo Station, so I didn't have to deal with stairs. The room was a superior twin, and although it only had a shower, it was very comfortable, and I was able to relax there. Nishiki Market, Kiyomizu Temple, and Yasaka Shrine are all within walking distance. Another nice point is that from 7:30 am to 10:00 am (entry until 9:30 am), I was able to enjoy free light snacks! I usually don't eat breakfast, but I decided to take advantage of it this time. The bread and coffee were delicious.

It had an amazing access, just a 5-minute walk from Shijo Karasuma, the center of Kyoto sightseeing! With a limited-time reservation via HafH, it was possible to enjoy excellent quality for a reasonable number of coins, and I also received drink tickets (including alcohol) according to the number of nights stayed! Although it was a room-only plan, a simple breakfast was provided in the morning. The lounge space and entrance on the 1st floor were very stylish, giving off a vibe of 'the Japanese modern.' The room was more than spacious enough for one person. Although the sunlight was not very good, I had no complaints given the quality for that number of coins. There was also a Bluetooth soundbar set up, so I was able to spend very comfortably. I recommend it to those who want to balance both hotel stays and sightseeing!!

I chose based on location and the number of coins. It was a last-minute reservation, but while the regular price is about 40,000 yen, I was able to stay for about half the price. It felt a bit smaller than it looked in the photos, but I think it's sufficient for one night. The amenities were also well-equipped.

This hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Karasuma Station. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. As soon as you enter the hotel, there are several types of welcome drinks available. There were various options like coffee, tea, roasted green tea, and even dashi, giving a taste of Kyoto. The dashi was delicious, and I asked for seconds several times. I stayed in a corner twin room. In conclusion, it was very clean, quiet, and quite good. The entrance is spacious, allowing you to organize your luggage and sit down to put on your shoes. The bathroom had a bathtub, and they even provided a bath additive that smelled like hinoki wood. The washbasin was large, and the mirror was spacious as well, which was nice. In addition to tea and coffee, there was a Nespresso machine in the room with four types of flavors ready to use. Although I stayed without meals included, in the morning, they prepared three types of bread in the lounge on the first floor, which was all-you-can-eat. Drinks were also available freely, with an expanded selection from the welcome drinks. I definitely want to use this hotel again when I visit Kyoto.

Continuing my stay at Agora Shijo, I moved to Karasuma. This location is closer to Shijo/Karasuma Station. It was very cold in snowy Kyoto, but I warmed up with the welcome drink dashi. The room only had a shower, but I appreciated that the toilet was separate. I didn’t include breakfast, but free bread and waffles were available.

As soon as we entered, there was a drink counter, and beyond that was the front desk. It had a very authentic Kyoto atmosphere. There was also broth, which my child really liked. The room was spacious and there was chilled bottled water! This was a nice surprise!! Before bed, we had something like a reading lamp, and we held a shadow play contest. There was a wonderful smell in the hallway, like something was being burned. It was a scent that relieved fatigue, and I personally liked it quite a bit.

Cozy and Comfortable Hotel in Kyoto

It was a very cold winter in Kyoto. I walked about 7 minutes west from Karasuma Subway Station to arrive at the hotel. The interior was very calm and elegant, like a classy restaurant. The welcome drink was a warm "dashi" broth! It warmed my chilled body. The room was simple, stylish, and comfortable. I could also watch YouTube on the TV. The room had a shower only. I could check the list of rental items on the hotel information on TV, and I borrowed a hair iron and a blanket. When I requested it via the internal phone, a staff member came right to my room. It was very helpful to borrow the hair iron as it can be bulky to bring along in my luggage. I was delighted to find a complimentary service of bread and drinks from 7:30 to 9:30 in the morning. (There seems to be a paid breakfast available separately.) I was very satisfied to be able to enjoy breakfast in a pleasant lounge environment. My next schedule was in the early afternoon, so my family and I relaxed in the hotel room until check-out at 11:00.

[Solo Trip] Excellent Access from Kyoto Station! Simple, Clean, and Spacious Twin Room

I stayed here during my solo trip to Kyoto. It was great that I could drop off my suitcase at the hotel right after arriving at Kyoto Station, as it was easily accessible within walking distance from Shijo Station. There was also a spacious lounge available for free use, and having free drinks was convenient for resting. I was surprised to hear at check-in that they provided light breakfast items like bread for free! (I didn’t use it this time as I had breakfast at a nearby café, but all the bread looked delicious) I traveled alone, but since the cheapest plan was for a twin room, I went with that option. The room was spacious, allowing me to relax and unwind. Thanks to HafH's limited-time plan, I also received a welcome drink, and I was able to enjoy drinks at the bar of a partner hotel nearby! It’s a very clean and comfortable hotel with great value for money, so I would definitely like to stay here again during my trip to Kyoto.

Since I usually can’t concentrate on meals, I opted for a hotel stay where I could relax and focus on my meals while living like a local in the city. I chose a spacious room with a small garden. Right as I entered, the garden was in front of me, opposite the entrance, allowing me to sip tea and enjoy a leisurely view. Even with just one night and two days, I managed to enjoy Kyoto cuisine thoroughly by leaving my luggage before check-in and after check-out.

When I arrive in Kyoto, the first thing I do is buy a one-day bus pass. It seems more efficient to explore by bus or on foot rather than by car. They can also hold your luggage before and after check-in.

To go on the Arashiyama trip, I booked a hotel with my partner. The facility was beautiful, and I was surprised that the key cards were made of wood. The room was also clean, and the TV was big, so we spent a memorable day watching Netflix together. I would definitely love to use it again if possible!

A Japanese-style city hotel. The exterior, corridors, and rooms were all beautiful. There was a welcome drink in the lobby. The shower, toilet, and washbasin were independent, which made it comfortable. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, making it convenient. Approximately 5 minutes from Shijo Subway Station and Hankyu Karasuma Station. Omiya Station on the Keifuku Line is also within walking distance. The bus network to various destinations is also well-equipped.
