If it’s spring, it’s cherry blossoms! Considering places where cherry blossoms can be seen beautifully, I decided to visit Kenrokuen Garden. The accommodation I chose was "The Strange Hotel," which I had been curious about since it was featured on TV. Self-check-in has become quite common now, but at the time of the TV show, it wasn't so prevalent, and the robot dinosaur guiding guests was innovative. I wanted to follow the standard route of Kenrokuen → Kanazawa Castle → Gyokusen'inmaru Garden → Oyama Shrine, so I made a reservation at a hotel near Oyama Shrine. I checked in at 3:00 PM. It was easy to check in by just entering my name on the touchscreen. The dinosaur robot actually talks and guides guests. *There was an additional accommodation tax of 200 yen to pay. There are self-lockers on the first floor, so you can store your luggage before or after check-in. I had reserved a double-bed room, but they generously upgraded me to a twin-bed room. It had a separate bath and toilet which I prefer. Apparently, for the double-bed room, there is a unit bath. I liked that the sliding door separated the main room from the entrance! There were large windows, but since it was between buildings, there wasn't much of a view to enjoy. However, the size was ample for a solo stay. Personally, I was happy that the TV screen was large enough to watch while lying in bed. There is an ice machine and a laundry room on the second floor. A LAWSON convenience store nearby adds to its good location. I recommend it for those staying primarily for sightseeing!

The hotel is located right near Oimachi Station. There is a large supermarket on the first floor, and a café on the second floor. It's very convenient for those who want to have a simple dinner in the room or want to enjoy drinks in their room. There is a super sento (public bath), but you only receive a ticket for one-time use. If you want to bathe a second time, it's charged separately. There’s an automated check-in and check-out system. It seems there's a system to store your luggage before check-in or after check-out. The loungewear is provided outside the elevators on each floor, so you can grab it yourself. Breakfast can also be added as an option.

Convenient and Great Value! A Hotel in Korea I Want to Make My Regular Stay

A calm and relatively new hotel with very clean rooms. There were no issues with the air conditioning or water pressure. The toilet can flush toilet paper. The front desk staff is polite. There is a vending machine in the lobby (see photo for contents). There is also a cafe, and it seems breakfast is available if reserved in advance. Since there are no amenities except for soap, it's recommended to bring your own toothbrush and slippers. If you bring a long charging cord (over 2 meters), you can use your phone charger by the bed (you'll need a Korean adapter). The desk turns into a dresser when you open the lid, which was convenient. Transport is easy, being within a 5-minute walk from both Ultrichro Samga (Euljiro 3-ga) and Jongno Samga (Jongno 3-ga), but I recommend Jongno Samga (Jongno 3-ga) since it has an escalator to ground level (Exit 14), making it easier when carrying a suitcase. There's a river right in front, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. You can also walk down the stairs to the promenade. It's a quiet area, so there aren't many people at night, but the riverside promenade is illuminated, and it faces a larger street, providing good visibility, so it does not feel lonely. There's a convenience store, Seven Eleven, nearby. I didn’t get a chance to visit, but Myeong-dong and the popular Anguk areas are also close by, so I really think the location is excellent. I plan to visit Korea again soon, but since my stays are often short, convenient and familiar locations are efficient and good value, so I made my next reservation at Venue G.

This time, my husband and I visited Utsunomiya looking forward to eating dumplings and strawberries. We booked a twin room, and to my surprise, there were two semi-double beds of 140 cm each! I was delighted to have such a spacious place to relax comfortably. The room was also spacious enough to easily open two suitcases. Amenities were the type you pick up at the front desk, but there were no lotion or cleansing products available. However, it was only a 4-minute walk to the station, and the complex 'Utsunomiya Terrace,' directly connected to Utsunomiya Station’s East Exit, also housed Matsumoto Kiyoshi, making it easy to buy what I needed. The parking is in a multilevel structure, but if you are a guest, it's only 1000 yen per night. I thought it was great to find parking so close to the station for just 1000 yen. The room wear was a separate style. It was also equipped with an air purifier. Checkout could be done smoothly via machine. I forgot to take pictures, but the 'Utsunomiya Light Rail' was incredibly cool. Since the starting station is Utsunomiya East Exit, it might also delight children who love trains.

I walked slowly with my 3-year-old child and reached the baggage check at Disney Sea in about 10 minutes. If you go earlier than the first Disney Resort Line train, you can get a head start on waiting for the park to open! This time I made a reservation for two adults. I completely forgot to mention that I had a preschool child, but they processed it on the spot and upgraded us to a triple room that happened to be available. So nice. Usually, I have to share a small futon with my child, but this time we could use a spacious bed. The amenities were a buffet style in the front lobby on the first floor. There was also a toothbrush for kids. There is a picture book corner, and you can take books back to your room to read, which was a great help. There were Disney picture books too, which really excited the kids. I was a bit surprised to find the outside corridor when I got off the elevator on the 7th floor (the top floor), but there was no issue. The hotel itself is not too new or too old. The cleanliness is ◎. The unit bathroom was narrow, and it was difficult to wash the child, but it was within acceptable limits. Although I didn’t use it, there is a free bus service between Maihama Station and the hotel to both Land and Sea. The frequency is low, so be careful. My husband mentioned that it takes about 10 minutes to walk from Maihama Station to the hotel.

I stayed here with my 5-year-old child as a place to visit friends in Fukuoka. It’s within walking distance from the subway and Nishitetsu stations. Right in front is a park, and since we visited during cherry blossom season, the view from the window of the park was beautiful (I think it depends on the room). The room was small but stylishly designed with big windows, so it didn’t feel cramped at all, and we had a comfortable stay. The bathroom only had a shower, but the water pressure was good, making it very pleasant, and even my child, who usually dislikes baths, liked it. Like many modern hotels, there were plenty of outlets and USB ports, which means there were no issues with charging devices, a big plus for us. The staff seemed to be from various countries, and while their customer service styles varied, overall it was pleasant, and I would definitely want to stay again the next time I’m in Fukuoka.

I moved from Osaka to Wakayama for an overnight stay. I used this hotel on my way from Wakayama to Nagoya. The reason I chose it was because it was my first time in Tsu City, and it had a large public bath. I used the bus from the station, but it was close to the bus stop and facing the main road, so moving around was not a hassle. The public bath was very clean and also had an outdoor bath; it was compact but had a sense of cleanliness, and I was very satisfied. The guest room was also very comfortable, and I thought it was a cost-effective hotel. Since I had some time before my departure, I asked for breakfast on the day, and they kindly accommodated me. The locally-sourced breakfast buffet was also very delicious. I would like to use it again.

Every time you use the shower, the toilet floor gets wet, so it requires some consideration even if you're familiar with each other, and especially a hassle in the morning when getting ready, 2. While the Washlet is nice, the traditional toilet situation means you can't flush toilet paper. The great location also means you're not struggling to find places to eat solo nearby, making it perfect for those who are a bit tired of Myeongdong and Dongdaemun but find Gangnam to be a bit too much for solo travel.

Following last year, this is the second time I stayed here^^ It takes about 15 minutes by taxi from Naha Airport. Check-in and check-out at the hotel can also be done smoothly using machines. On rainy days, you can borrow an umbrella from the hotel, and there's a 7-Eleven on the first floor, so shopping is convenient. This is my third time returning! I was able to stay at this hotel for 1050 coins on a weekend that typically costs about 70,000 yen on booking sites. Upon arrival, I was offered a welcome drink in the lobby lounge, allowing me to relax while enjoying the ocean view. If desired, I could also take drinks back to my room. What I love most about this inn is that my room has a half-open-air hot spring bath, allowing me to enjoy a bath at any time I like. Additionally, the large public bath is spacious, where you can slowly soak in the hot springs while looking at the sea and enjoy the sauna. When checking in, they inform you of the sunrise time for the next day, so if you go to the bath when the sun rises, you'll be treated to a spectacular view. The room is spacious, with a separate living area and bedroom. The presence of a mini-kitchen is a great bonus, making it easy for those with children to use. Tea and coffee were provided in the room. There was a coffee machine in the lobby, allowing me to enjoy unlimited cups for free! It was a machine that ground the beans each time, so the aroma was wonderful and the coffee was very tasty. I opted for the no-meal plan, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so I don't think you'll have any trouble. I had dinner from Kamesho Kuru Kuru Sushi to go and enjoyed it in my room! For breakfast, I bought bread from Tomonaga Pan the day before and had it with the lobby coffee. The staff was very kind, and I want to use this inn multiple times. I felt the beginning of my journey in the yager room that felt like a secret base, and it filled me with anticipation! I also participated in the hotel activity "Castle Town Saruku." Guided by a Kumamoto-loving OMO ranger, I explored the surroundings 👣. Experiencing the history of Kumamoto Castle while visiting hidden gems is something that you can only experience by joining Saruku! In the evening, I also took part in an activity where I could taste cocktails in the café lounge and receive recommendations for bars! It seems that there are over 100 bars densely packed around the hotel, and the staff kindly proposed recommendations to ensure I could enjoy myself, even though I usually don't go to bars. They were also supportive when it came to choosing restaurants for dinner, making me feel like I had a partner for my city walk ✨. A Relaxing Solo Trip in Hayama!

I wanted to see the ocean, so I took a quick 1.5-hour trip from Tokyo to Hayama! ⬜︎ Check-In Check-in here is a bit later at 16:00. I reserved through Hafh, and after stating my name, I could check in immediately, with breakfast reservation also available at that time. Breakfast reservations can be made up to the day before, and I had to decide the menu at the same time as making the reservation. I usually prefer Japanese food, so I chose the spam onigiri set! There were also French toast, minestrone, and gratin among four menu options. In addition to the plate, they had a buffet-style salad, cereals, and drinks (water, milk, orange juice, coffee, and hot drinks). If you have time, it seems nice to slowly enjoy coffee in the morning while working or reading. ⬜︎ 1F Indoor Area The indoor area was very clean, and the shared space (workspace) was well-equipped. It was separated into a tatami area and an area with tables and chairs. You can eat anywhere in this area, whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or in the cafe! ⬜︎ 5F Room (Mountain Side) I reserved a private room (mountain side) and spent my time inside! I chose mountain side as it was slightly cheaper, and the chirping of birds was soothing. The ocean view can be seen from the bath, so I think anyone who doesn’t have particular preferences can relax just fine from the mountain side. ⬜︎ Amenities In the 1F lobby, there are cotton swabs, combs, toothbrushes, shaving razors, and shaving cream. They also provided pajamas and slippers in the room, so for those who don’t mind, you don’t need to bring pajamas. *I don't know about the bunk room! There was also a refrigerator and electric kettle, so I enjoyed a leisurely stay with dinner brought back to the room. In the bathing area, besides shampoo, rinse, and body soap, there’s also cleansing and face wash (this was the information I wanted to know). If you need anything, it would be skincare items! There were oils and creams in the changing area, but I wasn’t sure if they were for the face... I took care of myself with what I brought! I hope this helps you if you're considering a stay!

This hotel is a bit more than my usual budget, so I might not have chosen it otherwise. However, this time, I booked through HafH, which had a limited-time offer that included free drinks, with no time restrictions. In addition to soft drinks, various types of alcohol, including sake, wine, and beer, were available for unlimited drinking. They mentioned that it is a limited-time plan until 2025/3/31, so they’re unsure if it will continue afterward… [Later update] It has been extended until 2026/3/31! ( ੭ ˙ᗜ˙ )੭♡ˎˊ˗ Yay! I’m incredibly happy! I want to go again. Unlike all-you-can-drink at an izakaya, having drinks after soaking in the hot springs at the hotel is the best. The room had an outdoor onsen with free-flowing hot spring water, and there was also an outdoor bath in the large public bath area, with a fireplace in the lobby… It was so relaxing that my fatigue and worries just disappeared. It's not just the unlimited drinks that make it great; the pleasant attitude of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the relaxed atmosphere of Hakone, which isn’t crowded—everything combined gives it a perfect score of 100. It’s not just expensive, cheap, or pretty. We wanted to retreat rather than tour. I booked this for my husband, who loves to drink and was tired from work, hoping to bring him some joy... and it was a huge success! We want to go again just the two of us, but I also want to go with several families or friends and chat around the fireplace. It was an emotional one-night stay filled with spaciousness, the starry sky, and tranquility. Be cautious if snow is forecasted. I brought tire chains in case it snowed before heading out, but I returned without needing them; however, it snowed the next day.

Stayed in March 2025. This is my second visit after December 2024. Connected directly to BTS Asoke Station and adjacent to MRT Sukhumvit Station. Both can be used without getting wet in the rain. Considering Bangkok's bumpy road conditions, having direct access to the station is definitely the best‼️ Even with a large suitcase, there are no issues at all. From Suvarnabhumi Airport, you only need to change trains once! It's easy. They will also hold your luggage after checkout, allowing you to play until the very last minute, which is a nice point. Additionally, right in front is the Terminal 21 shopping mall, open until 10 PM. It has a cinema, shops (for souvenirs, clothing, and miscellaneous goods), cafes, restaurants, a food court, and a supermarket in the basement, allowing you to spend all day here in the hot Bangkok. The night view from the rooftop bar in this hotel is amazing. Compared to other hotel bars, it is quite affordable. The staff are courteous and leave a good impression. It is also available for visitors with elementary school children. There is a pool right before the bar, with towels provided, making it hassle-free. Feeling like eating raw vegetables, I used 'Ume-no-Hana' on the second floor for breakfast. You can choose from four pre-set options of Japanese, Western, etc. Rice and miso soup are unlimited. There is a buffet table with drinks, raw vegetables, fruits, yogurt, toast, and natto, and I'm especially grateful that I can eat the raw vegetables without worries. The Moo Ping (grilled pork skewers) at the buffet table is delicious, so I recommend trying it if you get the chance. The room is more than satisfactory in size, and while there is no bathtub, the water facilities are clean, and the shower pressure is completely fine. The bathroom is also clean. The level of service is so good that you might forget you are in Bangkok, like in Japan. No voltage converter is needed, and I can use chargers and hair irons brought from Japan without any issues (see photo). The room includes disposable slippers and one-piece pajamas. Amenities include toothbrushes, shower caps, cotton swabs, and cotton. The hairdryer is Panasonic brand, and the airflow is good. The bathroom has body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The refrigerator has two bottles of water, plus two more bottles at room temperature, which is a nice service. Drip coffee, tea bags of black tea and green tea are included from the start; it's the best. In short, this is a perfectly relaxing room where you can comfortably unwind. Japanese TV programs can also be viewed as they are. Many staff members speak Japanese, so it's reassuring. There is a laundry facility on the lobby floor with two washing machines and two dryers. Ice service and a microwave are available. For laundry, you can purchase two tokens (200 baht) at the front desk. Each token comes with a bag of detergent and softener. Additional purchases are also possible. Washing takes 40 minutes and drying takes 60 minutes, making it recommended to run them while having breakfast. There are vending machines in the lobby with drinks and simple snacks. There is also an ATM 💸 In front is a currency exchange called Super Rich within Terminal 21.

I stayed for 6 nights in March 2025. The hotel is slightly away from the center of Taipei, but it takes about 10 minutes by subway to reach Taipei Station, and being on the main line, the Red Line, it was convenient to get anywhere. Additionally, being in front of the station made it easy to rest at the hotel right after a long day, and it was convenient even when it rained. I was upgraded to a balcony room, and the size was comfortable with high ceilings, allowing me to relax. There were washing and drying machines available in the room, as well as in the public space that felt like a backyard, where I could do laundry every day using the provided detergent and fabric softener. In the mornings, bread, coffee, and fruits were available for self-service, and I enjoyed delicious bread every day. There was also tea, which I carried around in a thermos. There was no bathtub, but the shower room was sufficient. The room was kept clean, and the toilet had a washlet, which was convenient. Despite being in front of the station, it was quiet, and I could relax every day. The staff maintained a good distance, which was nice. Overall, I had no drawbacks and would highly recommend this hotel.

Starting with a welcome scarf (a traditional Cambodian stoles) and foot massage. The hotel is full of hospitality. It's a cozy two-story building, and the service of calling guests by name is quite exceptional. Breakfast is free for all guests, and includes local and Western dishes. During breakfast time, there's also a free 10-minute massage. They even offered to look after my child, so I took them up on it right away. The massage skills were impressive. The hotel's spa massage is $80 for 60 minutes (about 12,000 yen), which is a bargain for a five-star hotel. There's a sauna, and when I made a reservation, they said, "There's no other reservation, so it's all yours. Feel free to use it." There are dry and steam saunas, and gowns and disposable shorts are provided, so you can go hands-free. The gym is open 24 hours and does not require a reservation. The pool is open from 7 AM to 7 PM. Being small allows them to cherish each guest even more. Artworks are displayed all over the place, making it feel like being in an art museum. I stayed with my child and felt enveloped in happiness. In addition to traditional snacks during the turndown service, there was also a hotel-made chocolate gift. I regretted going out every day because I had such a wonderful stay at the hotel.

It was a newly designed, pop-themed hotel with playful touches everywhere, making it very comfortable! Access is immediate after exiting the underground passage at Exit 6 of Ximen Station. There is a cute 7-Eleven on the first floor. The front desk has a welcome bar as well. They provide free washing machines and dryers, which I highly recommend. Right next door, there is a massage parlor that was affordable and skilled. Breakfast was great with plenty of vegetables on offer. The room also had free mineral water, coffee, tea bags, and disposable slippers.

The room was comfortable and the staff at the front desk were kind. The hairdryer was a Panasonic Nano Care, which was nice to have. ◾️ Cons You can hear all the voices in the hallway. The bathroom has a slight sewage smell, but if you keep the ventilation fan on, it’s not too noticeable.

Definitely a place we will revisit 🩷 The location is about a 10-minute bus ride from Kanazawa Station, but it’s easy to get to all the sightseeing areas in Kanazawa! 🏨 A perfect location! My family loves OMO and we have visited many, but this one is on a whole other level 🩷 The lobby has interiors using Kanazawa's traditional Mizuhiki, with gently swaying lights creating an indescribable atmosphere✨✨ They even have a sanshin in the lobby, and my son had fun playing it. At 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00, there are three free tea hospitality sessions unique to Kanazawa (30 minutes each)! You can choose from two types every day, select by confirming the aroma, then they make it carefully right in front of you, and you can choose a treat, which is a delightful service for all generations 😆 Being an OMO fan, I couldn't help but order something special from their cafe. This time, I chose the seasonal strawberry 🍓 It was delicious and cute, just made my heart flutter. The amazement continued even when we returned to our room 🥹 Being able to store the open suitcase under the bed is fantastic 😃 All hotels should do this and just use a Roomba for cleaning (laughs) It felt more spacious without a bulky suitcase in the way. It's a raised floor, making it recommended for families with children. While there isn't a large public bath, there is a reasonably sized bath, so it wasn't an issue at all. By the way, there's a day-use bath at APA Hotel just a 2-minute walk away, and a sento (public bath) Matsunoyu is also within walking distance (they had flyers for free towel tickets in the lobby). Although it's a paid experience, I highly recommend the 1000 yen gold leaf letter experience 🩷 My 5-year-old son and my 60-year-old grandmother both said the hotel was the most fun memory in Kanazawa! I'm so glad I brought them, a wonderful accommodation that satisfies all generations 🩷

The hotel is located in a corner of downtown Tsukuba, about a 10-minute bus ride from Tsukuba Station. The lobby is spacious and clean, and after checking in, I was able to enjoy free coffee and juice. The room has a furniture layout that I personally think is perfect! There's a sofa and table next to the bed, making it very comfortable to watch TV from both the sofa and the bed. Also, the TV had access to Netflix and YouTube, which was another pleasant point. Furthermore, the table was large and convenient for working on my computer or having a simple meal. The toilet and bath were also clean and relatively spacious. The large public bath is available until midnight, and I used it, enjoying a nearly private bathing experience, which I was very satisfied with. It’s a clean and very comfortable room, conveniently located near a drinking district and a convenience store (Seven-Eleven), making it an excellent hotel.

I stayed at DEL style Nagoyabashi by Daiwa Roynet Hotel. Overall, it was a highly satisfying hotel experience. First, the amenity bar was well-equipped, and it was nice to have complimentary skincare products like lotion and moisturizer available. There was also a service offering free ice for guests, perfect for a refreshing treat. The room was clean and stylishly decorated. The sink, toilet, and bath were separate, making it very convenient to use. Additionally, complimentary mineral water was provided, showing attention to small details. The front desk staff were courteous, making check-in and check-out smooth. I didn’t use it this time, but I think having a large bath is a high point. Furthermore, with a women-only floor available, I felt that it was a safe environment for solo female travelers. I can highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Nagoya.

My first trip to Hokkaido with the beloved OMO series! I ventured into Hakodate, which had good reviews. It's a 3-5 minute walk from the station. Convenience stores are 3 minutes away. You can get to the popular morning market in just 5 minutes The location is really good. If you want to visit the red brick warehouses, Goryokaku, or the ropeway, you can conveniently take the free bus!! The free buses are a bit limited, but if you miss one, there are plenty of options like the city streetcar and municipal buses. Even taking a taxi to the red brick warehouse only costs about 700 yen. The rooms are simple, but perfect for us who just sleep as we go to the lounge and hot springs ♡ The OMO hotel cafe is very selective, so you must eat there!!! This time I had 3 types of salted fish, squid goro potato, mixed gelato, and craft beer. I ate everything and it was all delicious!!! Even though I’m not good at salted fish, I ended up eating it all by myself ♡ I stayed for 2 nights because there were so many things I wanted to eat at the market, but I didn’t have time to eat breakfast 🙏 I want to do a revenge trip. Everything, including the room, was stylish & simple. It was very spacious, so I could relax comfortably. Although the toilet and bath are not separate, I filled the bathtub with water and added my favorite bath salts that I brought along, soaking leisurely. After bathing, I enjoyed a slightly expensive ice cream bought from a convenience store while doing a facial mask. I slept soundly. It's safe even for solo travelers. It has become one of the hotels I want to visit again♡

Staying solo on a beautiful travel day! After sightseeing at Katsurahama, I checked in after 3 PM. The room, while simple, was comfortable to spend time in! Since it was on the 19th floor, the view was also great! Although there was only a shower room and the bathroom was separate, there was a large public bath, so it was completely fine! I also liked that there was a separate washbasin. Next to the bed, there was an outlet with USB type A and C sockets. At the entrance to the public bath on the 5th floor, there were towels, so I didn’t have to take any from my room. There were also lockers for valuables. There was a large indoor bath and sauna, and outside there was an open-air bath and cold bath. After the bath, you could drink self-service "Ikegawa First Tea" and “Ginger Yuzu” at the tea station. At 5 PM, I participated in an activity called "Tosa Okakyou Course" (optional and free). They explained the platter cuisine and parlor games with a video. You can also experience the parlor games (participation by nomination/limited number of people). It was unexpectedly fun (about 20 minutes). At 6 PM, I headed to the 2nd floor for a dinner buffet. When I told the staff my name at the reception, they explained the recommended dishes and guided me to my table. You can see the making of the highlight, "Grilled Bonito with Straw"! I could see the process of preparing, lighting the straw, and grilling the bonito through acrylic! This is a point where you want to film with your smartphone (be careful not to get too close as it's hot). Once grilled, they provided it to me immediately, and I could have as many servings as I wanted, so I ate a lot! There were also dishes unique to Kochi and buffet staple dishes. At 9 PM, I watched the "Yosakoi Gaku En Live". There were naruko (clappers) placed on the grand staircase, so I was ready with one in each hand! Day 2 I went to the public bath early in the morning. The open-air bath in the morning is the best!! After getting ready, I participated in the Sunday-only activity, "Sunday Market Guide". I took a tram to Harimaya Bridge. The road leading to Kochi Castle becomes a pedestrian paradise, with many shops lined up. They sell not only food ingredients but also traditional crafts and flowers. After strolling for a while, I returned to the hotel, relaxed in my room, and checked out at 11 AM. It was a fun trip!
